Hello Yashwant ji, I am a regular reader of Bhadas4Media. You won't believe I keep this site open the whole day. I never wrote to you on \any issue, but this time could not stop myself from doing this. I am sorry, I can’t reveal my identity. I am not a media person, though I had been in this profession in past. I had completed my journalism-studies from Indian Institute of Mass Communications, New Delhi. After that I did journalism for 7-8 years with Delhi’s top brands. Broke lots of stories, and earned accolades and praises from the Editors and the public too. Despite all I changed the way of my career and said good bye to media.
Yashwant ji, Bhadas is a revolution. I can compare it with what had happened in Russia many years back which introduced the real Russia to the world. You and your portal are doing the same thing. You are portraying the actual face of media.
The perception of media among people is that it a very open and liberal sector. But it is only a perception and not the truth. The fact is that media is a closed dark room and no body is allowed to look into this. This is the most feudal sector. A farm labourer can raise his voice against his land owner, but a journalist can not even think of doing this to his masters. Not only this, they can not even raise a question against their editors/ seniors also. The condition of a farm labourer is better than a journalist today as far as freedom (of speech) is concerned.
My personal advice would be that you should not think of shut down the portal. Problems will always be there—whatever business you try. I have read the success story of Prabhat Khabar newspaper on your portal only. It was a dying organisation, but one man --Sh Harivansh-- has changed the game completely and made it India’s one of the most successful newspapers. The notable part is that it is successful with its public oriented approach and unmatched credibility.
Regards,
