ABP News CVoter unveil final opinion poll for Upcoming Assembly Elections
The contest in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur shows no clear winners as BJP and INC are in a close contest
Noida, 7th February 2022: The ABP News-CVoter (Centre for Voting Opinion & Trends in Election Research) final opinion poll predicts BJP emerging victorious in Uttar Pradesh. The results for Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur show no clear winners as BJP and INC seem to be in a neck to neck battle with each other. In Punjab, AAP is expected to cross the majority mark while INC’s power struggles seem to have eroded their seat share.
As per ABP News-CVoter final opinion poll, the predictions are as follows:
In UP, Yogi Adityanath is likely to retain power for BJP and looks set to become first UP CM to beat anti-incumbency. As per the survey. BJP is predicted to get 41.2 % vote share, followed by SP with 35% and BSP is a distant third with 14.2%.
In Punjab, AAP looks to have consolidated its lead with the declaration of Bhagwant Mann as the CM candidate. As per the survey, AAP is leading with 39.8% vote share, followed by INC with 30% and SAD with 20.2%.
In Uttarakhand, the contest between BJP and INC is too close to call as BJP is likely to bag 42.6% vote share, while INC will likely win 40.6% vote share. AAP is a distant third with 13% vote share.
In Goa, BJP’s grip on power seems to have loosened as it is predicted to win 30% vote share, while INC and AAP are likely to be in second and third place respectively, with INC likely to win 24% vote share and AAP 23.6% vote share.
In Manipur, the poll equations are suggesting that no single party will be in a position to form the government on its own. In terms of vote share, BJP is ahead of all others with 33.9% votes while INC is second with 28.4%.
The current projections are based on CVoter daily tracking poll conducted from 11th January 2022 to 6th February, 2022, among 18+ adults, including likely voters.
As for the methodology and survey details, the survey reached out to a total of approximately 136579+ across 5 states (UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa) and was conducted through CATI (Telephonic survey). The same is also expected to have a margin of error of ±3 to ±5% and may not necessarily have factored in all criteria.
