प्रेस क्लब में प्रेस कांफ्रेंस के दौरान हिंदुस्तान समाचार न्यूज एजेंसी के पत्रकार पर हमला

कोलकाता से सूचना है कि हिंदुस्तान समाचार न्यूज एजेंसी के पत्रकार ओम प्रकाश सिंह पर हमला हुआ है. दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण ये है कि घटना प्रेस क्लब में तब घटित हुई जब एक प्रेस कांफ्रेंस का आयोजन हो रहा था. घटना मंगलवार की है. पत्रकार संगठनों ने इस हमले की निंदा की है. पढ़ें प्रेस रिलीज-

पत्रकार पर हमला करने वालों के खिलाफ कर कड़ी कार्रवाई हो

नई दिल्ली । नेशनल यूनियन आफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (इंडिया) संबंद्ध इंटरनेशनल फेडरेशन आफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (आईएफजे) और दिल्ली जर्नलिस्ट्स एसोसिएशन (डीजेए) ने कोलकता में मंगलवार को हिन्दुस्थान समाचार समाचार एजेंसी के पत्रकार ओम प्रकाश सिंह पर हुए हमले की घोर निंदा की है।

प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार कोलकाता में मंगलवार को समाचार एजेंसी हिन्दुस्थान समाचार के पत्रकार पर हमला किया गया। यह घटना कोलकाता प्रेस क्लब में आयोजित एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन के दौरान हुई। पत्रकार वार्ता में शामिल हिन्दुस्थान समचार एजेंसी के ओम प्रकाश सिंह हमले में मामूली रूप से घायल हुए हैं। पीड़ित पत्रकार ओम प्रकाश सिंह ने कोलकाता के मैदान थाने में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है।

गैर-सरकारी संस्था आल इंडिया एकता फाउंडेशन द्वारा आयोजित संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कोलकाता के कई प्रतिष्ठित समाचार पत्रों और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिया के पत्रकार और फोटोग्राफर उपस्थित थे। इस दौरान फाउंडेशन की तरफ से विधानसभा चुनाव में तृणमूल कांग्रेस को समर्थन देने की घोषणा की गई। इसकी वजह के तौर पर तृणमूल कांग्रेस का धर्मनिरपेक्ष होना बताया गया।

एनयूजे (आई) के अध्यक्ष रासबिहारी ने कहा, हम मीडिया पर हमले की निंदा करते हैं और इसके लिए जिम्मेदार व्यक्तियों की तत्काल गिरफ्तारी की मांग करते हैं। पत्रकारों को उनका काम करने दिया जाना चाहिए। यह घटना निंदनीय है। यह स्वस्थ लोकतंत्र के लिए अच्छा संकेत नहीं है। उन्होंने हमला करने वालों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग और घायल साथी पत्रकार को चिकित्सा सुविधा देने की मांग राज्य सरकार से की है।

घायल पत्रकार ओम प्रकाश सिंह के मुताबिक धर्मनिरपेक्षता को लेकर उन्होंने एक सवाल किया जिसका उत्तर भी मिला लेकिन पत्रकार वार्ता समाप्त होने के बाद जब वे कुछ पत्रकारों के साथ बातचीत कर रहे थे तभी आयोजकों में से एक व्यक्ति उनके पास आया और उनसे पूछा कि वे किस मीडिया संस्थान के लिये काम करते हैं? उत्तर में हिन्दुस्थान समाचार का नाम सुनकर वह व्यक्ति वहां से चला गया लेकिन कुछ ही देर में वह आया और ओम प्रकाश पर घूंसे बरसाने लगा हालांकि वहां मौजूद पत्रकारों और प्रेस क्लब के सुरक्षाकर्मियों ने उसे जल्द काबू में ले लिया। घटना में आस पास खड़े कुछ अन्य पत्रकारों को भी चोटें आई हैं।

Action should be taken against those who attacked the journalist

New Delhi : The National Union of Journalists (India) affiliated International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) have strongly condemned the attack on journalist Om Prakash Singh of Hindusthan Samachar news agency in Kolkata on Tuesday.

According to the information received, the journalist of the news agency Hindusthan Samachar was attacked in Kolkata on Tuesday. The incident occurred during a press conference held at the Kolkata Press Club. Om Prakash Singh of Hindusthan Samachar Agency, who was present in the press conference, has been marginally injured in the attack. The victim journalist Om Prakash Singh has lodged a complaint at the Maidan police station in Kolkata. Journalists and photographers from several prestigious newspapers and electronic media of Kolkata were present at the press conference organized by the non-government body All India Ekta Foundation. During this time, the Foundation announced its support to the Trinamool Congress in the assembly elections. The reason for this was stated to be secular of the Trinamool Congress.

NUJ (I) President Ras Bihari said, “We condemn the attack on the media and demand immediate arrest of the persons responsible for it. Journalists should be allowed to do their work. This incident is condemnable. This is not a good sign for a healthy democracy.” He has demanded strict action against the attackers and the state government for providing medical facilities to the injured fellow journalist.

According to the injured journalist Om Prakash Singh, he asked a question about secularism which was also answered but after the end of the press conference, when he was talking to some journalists; one of the organizers came to him and asked him what media institute you work for? On hearing the name of Hindusthan Samachar in the north, the man left but soon came and started punishing Om Prakash, however the journalists and press club security personnel present there quickly took him under control. Some other journalists standing nearby were also injured in the incident.
