In Majithia Wage Board recommendation about DA payable biannually means twice in a year and from 1st January and from 1st July of the year. That means DA from 1st January to 30st June will be same for six month and change after 1st July will also same for another six month means upto 31st December. So there is no provision of calculation of every month of DA. In the above matter you shown that the DA for the month of only Nov., 2011. Why?
As per my understanding through Majithia WB DA from 1st July to 31 Dec. 2011 will be same, and calculate as per given formula. Yes May I correct?
If so then the DA for the month of Nov. 2011 will be as Jul 178, Aug 178, Sep 179, Oct 181, Nov 182, Dec 185, Jan 188, Feb 185, Mar 185, Apr 186, May 187, Jun189 Total of 12 months = 2203/12=184. Now 184-167=17 points. So DA will be calculated on 17 points for the six months that from 1st July 2011 to 31st Dec. 2011. Means as follows…

DA=Basic X 184-167/167.

=184-167/167 X 18420 = 1875/-Yes It is the correct?
It is one this is clear that the base (Aadhar) divisor should be 167. In our establishment management took 189 as base (Aadhar) divisior.

Dear Kashinath, It is perfectly alright if DA is calculated for 22 points for the months of Nov, Dec, 2011.

For Jan 2012, we can have it for 25 (192-167), 192 being the average for Jan-Dec 2011.

We won’t lose anything on this. What is important is calculating DA according to 167 Base and Divisor formula which Mr Chaudhuri has taken into account.
