Ravish Kumar : सांतिया ‘मिरर नाऊ’ की पत्रकार हैं। कई चैनलों में काम कर चुकी हैं। उनका पोस्ट पढ़िए और ख़ुद में झांकिए। ख़ासकर वो लोग जो नौकरी देने के ओहदे में रहे हैं। बैंकों पर सीरीज़ के दौरान वहाँ काम करने वाली औरतों ने इस तरह के और इससे भी भयानक अनुभव बताए थे। पर उन्हें हैशटैग नहीं मिला क्योंकि वे लिख नहीं सकती थीं। निजी तौर पर मुझे बताया था। उम्मीद है एक हवा बहेगा।
अभी तक जितनी भी शिकायतें आईं हैं महिला पत्रकारों ने ज़िम्मेदारी और सबूत के साथ बात रखी है। जेनुइन हैं। इसलिए इन्हें ‘स्कोर सेटल’ करने के रूप में नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए। हो सकता हो कुछ मामले ऐसे भी आ जाएँ तो उन्हें अलग से देखा जाएगा। इसीलिए भीड़ मत बनिए।बात उठेगी। जाँच होगी। फिर फ़ैसला होगा। तब तक एक पक्षीय भी मत बनाइये। लेकिन ईमानदारी से सुनिये तो।
सुनने से समाज और व्यक्ति के भीतर चेक सिस्टम बनेगा। बहुत सी नई छात्राएँ मुझसे कहती हैं कि घर वाले मीडिया लाइन में इन वजहों से जाने से मना करते हैं। उनके लिए यही कहना है कि वे बिल्कुल न घबराएँ। एक महिला होने के नाते उन्हें ये लड़ाई कहीं भी लड़नी पड़ेगी। तो यहीं सही। कम से कम उनकी सीनियर ने यह रेखा तो खींच ही दी कि आज न सही बीस साल बाद भी ये कहानियों कहीं जाएँगी तो भी उनका असर होगा। दिल्ली मुंबई के अलावा राज्यों और ज़िलों की लड़कियाँ इसे एक अवसर के रूम में लें।
रोहिणी सिंह ने ट्विटर के अपनी टाइमलाइन पर बताया है कि सेक्सुअल हैरसमेंट की सीमा कहाँ से शुरू होती है, वहाँ जाकर देखिए। सीख लेने में हर्ज नहीं है। हम सबको सीखना चाहिए। लड़कियों को भी और लड़कों को भी। मुंबई प्रेस क्लब की तारीफ़ करनी होगी कि उन्होंने मी टू अभियान के तहत आई शिकायतों को संज्ञान में लिया और निंदा की।

One at a time
In December 2016, I was approached by a fellow reporter on field for a job opening in his organisation. He asked me to meet his boss. I was not very keen as I never agreed with the way the channel used to work. But I decided to meet the MUMBAI BUREAU CHIEF of that NATIONAL HINDI CHANNEL to see what he had to offer. But to my surprise he asked to me to meet him at night for the interview via the same reporter who approached me. I was told that MR BUREAU CHIEF had a flight to Delhi and wanted to conduct the interview asap. It was really bizarre because he wanted to meet outside and not in the office. I lied that I was busy and did not go. But next week I was again requested to meet. This time I went. It was afternoon and I met the BUREAU CHIEF at a small tea place outside his office. MR BUREAU CHIEF was such a sleaze. In a 10 minute conversation he could not take his eyes off from my boobs. That is all he saw. I thought he was offering job to my boobs and explaining work profile to them. He made me feel naked. He literaly scanned me. I felt so uncomfortable, I felt naked. I said no to his offer then and there. He was ready to pay me a very handsome salary, which is rare in our industry, that too in Hindi channels. I said no again and I somehow managed to leave. I cursed myself for not reacting then. I did not react (it is not a part of my personality), I froze. But I informed all the senior people about the incident. I fought with the fellow reporter for introducing me to such a sleaze.
This is my story (one of them). Will write about many more. I want to write his name also, will do that soon.
