प्रख्यात पत्रकार नोरा आपा उर्फ नोरा चोपड़ा का निधन

नई दिल्ली: देश की प्रख्यात पत्रकार, स्तंभकार और राजनीतिक विश्लेषक नोरा चोपड़ा का आज दिल्ली में निधन हो गया। पिछले कुछ समय से वे बीमार चल रही थीं। संडे गार्जियन, पंजाब केसरी सहित कई अखबारों में वे नियमित कालम लिखती थीं। देश की राजनीतिक खबरों पर उनकी गहरी पकड़ थी। तमाम नौजवान पत्रकारों की वे प्रेरणास्रोत थीं। उनके निधन पर बड़ी संख्या में पत्रकारों ने उन्हें श्रद्धाजंलि अर्पित की है।

राष्ट्रपति प्रणव मुखर्जी ने भी नोरा चोपड़ा के निधन पर शोक व्यक्त किया है। पत्रकारों के बीच वे ‘नोरा आपा’ के नाम से मशहूर थीं। उनके निधन पर पत्रकार गौतम लाहिड़ी, पल्लवी घोष, यूसुफ अंसारी, अरुण सिंह, रमन कुमार, निधि शर्मा, संदीप फुकन, सोनी मिश्रा, रवि त्रिपाठी, प्रदीप कुमार, सुनील प्रभु, सुहैल हामिद, सुप्रिया भारद्वाज, महेन्द्र सिंह, आलोक झा, अमित पांडेय, अदिति टंडन, आशीष कुमार सिंह, शादाब, शाहिद, नवीन कपूर, लक्ष्मी अय्यर, शकील अख्तर, सुबोध घिल्डियाल, अमित, शिशिर सोनी इत्यादि ने दुख जताया है। उन्हें ओखला कब्रिस्तान में सुपुर्दे-ए-खाक किया गया। वे अपने पीछे पति डा. अरविंद चोपड़ा और दो पुत्रों राहिल चोपड़ा व रोहन चोपड़ा को छोड़ गयी हैं।

DUJ : SALUTE TO NORA CHOPRA

The President and General Secretary of Delhi Union of Journalists have condoned death of veteran journalist and activist Nora Chopra who passed away yesterday. In a joint statement they said: “We salute the fighting spirit of veteran journalist Nora Chopra who passed away yesterday. Nora, age 64, had been ill and wheel chair bound for some time but doggedly continued writing her ‘Sunday Guardian’ column and other commitments. Progressive and secular at heart, she had been a DUJ activist for over two decades. A former member of the DUJ executive, Nora was ailing for some time. A prolific writer, Nora was known for her reportage on politics and crusading zeal in espousing causes that were close to her. She was secular to the core, and continued writing till her very end. The DUJ will be organising its  condolence meeting to pay tributes to her memory on Thursday 27th April, 2017 at 5pm.
