: Aamne-Samne with Madhuri Dixit : The one and only Dhak-Dhak girl of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit, is not ready to sit on her past laurels. Rather than that, she is open to working in good films with accomplished co-stars and ace directors. In a very lively interview with Ms.Anurradha Prasad for her weekly show ‘Aamne-Samne’,the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit said , “ I have never said that I will not act in any movie after my marriage.
In fact, I did Jhalak Dikhla Ja and Devdas after my marriage. I will continue to do films provided I get good and meaty roles that are even liked by my fans.” The interview with Madhuri Dixit is to be aired at 8 am on Saturday and 10 pm on Sunday.
MF Hussain and Madhuri Dixit’s relationship is well-known and she admits very candidly that the likes of Hussain saheb are and will remain her inspiration as they still active despite such a ripe age.
Does she also regret her decisions if things do not click according to her liking ?
A humility personified despite conquering so much in her professional life,Madhuri Dixt informs, “ No way. I am a very decisive person. If I take decision on some issue,then I give my hundred peer cent. I never do anything in a half-hearted manner. And then I leave it to destiny.”
In a question related to her decision to work as a judge in reality show ‘ Jhalak Dikhla Ja,’ she said, “ As dance is part of my life, since I was only three years old when I started learning it, it is virtually extension of my personality. Many youngsters look to me for an inspiration,hence i decided to work as a judge in Jhalak…”
An out and out family woman, the stunning beauty owes her success to her family to great extent. “ If I have archived in my career, I owe it to my parents and after my marriage to my husband and other close relatives.They really supported me every time and all the time when i required their support.”
Does she miss all the attention when in America, a diva by any stretch of imagination, Madhuri Dixit firmly said, “ I always thought of a husband and kids. I imbibed middle-class values and always looking for simple life. And when I am in America, i am a simple lady taking care of my home and family.”
Did she get a small dance role in Subhash Ghai film ‘Karma’ before she became the top star, Madhuri’s deadly eyes lit up recalling the whole incident, “ Yes, Subhash ji offered me a small role in Karma when he came to see the shooting of movie in Kashmir. I was introduced to Subhash ji by my director and he was all praise of me. That was the time when he told me that he can offer me the role in his movie if i stop doing small roles in films.
