: …reports TAM : 148% growth in market share in Bihar : 43.8 % growth in reach in Gujarat : 16.2 % increase in eyeballs in Rajasthan : 17 % growth in reach in Assam : New Delhi : According to the latest report published by TAM, News Express, the first high definition (HD) Hindi news channel has captured yet another 10% market share across the Hindi speaking market (HSM) in the country.
The channel has added on across categories like gross rating point (GRP), time spent on the channel and reach in segments like 25 + SEC ABC and CS 4+ year, in about over a month of its launch. Creating a wave in Bihar, News Express has more than doubled over its share in the market with a 148% growth in market share in the state along with an increase of 145% of the time spent on the channel, an increase of 90% in the gross rating point (GRP) and an increase of 22% in the reach across the state.
In other Hindi speaking states the progress of the channel has been phenomenal as well, where in Maharashtra the market share has increased by 7%, in Rajasthan the share and time spent has increased by 16.2% while in Assam the market share has increased by 7% across the target group of 25 + SEC ABC.
The trend continues in the CS 4+ year segment as well with Gujarat showing an increase of 43.8% in the reach of the channel while Assam shows a boost of 17% in the reach and of 11% in the time-spent on the channel across this category.
