Today i came back at 8pm to my home after completing my regular reporting work…As per my daily routine i switched on my tv and see what is running on channels. At 8.10pm a National news channel had flashed breaking on screen regarding chandigarh’s minor girl Ruchika Gihrotra suicide case..
The said channel repeatedly flashing breaking news that the president of India has accepted Home Ministry’s request regarding roll back of the Police medal from former IPS SPS Rathore. In this breaking news the content was “Ruchika chherchhad mamla… Rastrapati ne police medal chhinne ki manjoori di”. It was very shameful to see how a national channel can be so irresponsible for a minor girl who was already suffered a lot due to eve teasing by a senior most officer resulted she ended her life. It is the worst day for those who always talk about ‘women empowerment’.
It is not the first time to see how we are doing our job, a job who effects the whole society.The channel should flash news but in a responsible manner like “ruchika khudkhushi mamla”. I think that everybody can immediately understand that it is a case relating to a minor girl Ruchika who ended her life after the humiliation caused by again high profile person towards a woman. So i request to channel’s seniors to monitor these kind of foolish activities to ensure your credibility and responsibility towards your viewers.

Bahut sahi kaha sir aapne….Ruchika ke sath jo hua woh bahut bura tha…Uski wajah se ruchika ne apni jaan de di…Itne saalon baad bhi is mamle ki wajah se uske pariwar ko na jane kaise halaton ka samna karna pad raha hai…agar TV channels apni language pad bhi dhyan nahi denge …to fir hum unse aur kya ummid kar sakte hai….
Isme koi shak nahi hai ki media ki wajah se bhi unche ohde par baithe adhikari ko kanun ke shikanje me lane me kamyabi mili….Par iske sath hi media ko is baat ka pura khyal rakhna chahiye ki aise sensitive maslo ko kis tarah se public me laya jai.

-कल का चोर आज का पत्रकार – सुशील गंगवार
ये बात करीव १५ साल पूरी नहीं है । हमारे ग़ाव में छिदु नाम एक आदमी था वह अक्सर घर आता जाता था । हमारी माँ को दीदी कह कर पुकारता हम भी मामा कहने से नहीं चूकते थे एक दिन ग़ाव में पुलिस आई तो जानकारी मिली ,छिदु मामा को पुलिस ने चोरी इल्जाम पकड़ लिया है एक दिन छिदु मामा से हमारी मुलाकात हो गयी । मामा बोले कि आजकल क्या कर रहे हो भांजे , मैंने भी कह दिया मामा मै डेल्ही में पत्रकार हू। मामा बोले अरे फिर तो हम दोनों की खूब जामेगी। मैंने पूछा वो कैसे । अरे हम भी पत्रकार है – मुझे याद है की छिदु मामा तो काला अक्छर भैस बराबर है । फिर फटाक से जेव से डेल्ही के Newspaper ka i card दिखाया । फिर बोले भांजे मै crime रिपोर्टर हू. मैंने पूछा ये कैसे बनबाया । अरे यार मैंने ५०० /- रूपये में डेल्ही से मगवाया है खूब नोट छाप रहा हू । मै उसकी बाते सुन कर हैरान कम परेशान था ।
