Dear All, This mail is to draw your kind attention towards a case happened in Kanpur City on Sept. 27th. A 11 yr. old girl, Divya (Anushka) was raped brutally in her school premises during regular school hours. Because of excessive bleeding and injuries during rape, she died that afternoon. School administration rather than sending her to hospital sent her to her home in an auto. This was the most inhuman act I have come across in my life considering the age of the victim.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
After the incident, Kanpur Administration acted (?) in a absolute irresponsible way as the victim and her family was among a common man and common family. Even after 2 weeks, when Local police did not get any clue about the case, they tried to convince the people by arresing someone and make fack story to solve the case. However, report of Doctor’s panel who did the postmortem was totally different.<\/p>\n
When a local newspaper tried to make people aware about this case by questioning the police authorities and giving a wide coverage to the news related to this issue, Kanpur City administration have attacked that newspaper office. Before that, Kanpur police have filed some false cases against even those who are either victim’s family members and well wishers.<\/p>\n
Through this email, first of all I fully support that newspaper for standing up for the sake of truth and justice. I further appeal all of you to kindly help best from your level to pressurize the local administration or UP Govt. to order for a CBI inquiry in this case. Please do remember that we all intellectuals without feelings are as worth less as anyone. This case is direct attack on out basic stricture of society. Innocent girls are not even safe in schools. If at this point we don;t support the cause, we have no right to cry when such an unfortunate case may also happen with your loving and dear ones.<\/p>\n
