A special jury of international film critics reviewed the official foreign submissions to the JIFF Awards going to be screened at this year\u2019s Festival. Out of 58 selected submissions jury selected two foreign submissions which were earlier nominated for Oscars &#038; which bought it home too.\u201d reported by Hanu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to director- The jury selected \u201cHugh Hefner-Playboy, Activist And Rebel\u201d in (feature film) &#038; \u201cSmile Pinky\u201d (documentary) under world-wood international category. Hugh-Hefner (directed by BRIGITTE BERMAN, GERMANY) is a movie which about a supreme bachelor of his time and the ultimate &#8220;lifestyle entrepreneur&#8221;. Who have forever changed world by breaking the boundaries related to sexuality, age, and gender. He created a revolutionary magazine with great articles in a time when sexuality was not even appropriate to talk about. The film goes through Hefner\u2019s fierce battles with the government, the religious right, and militant feminists and present\u00a0 a brilliant and entertaining snapshot of the life of a very complex man and the controversies that surrounded him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SMILE PINKY (directed by MEGAN MYLAN, USA) received the OSCAR Award for Best Documentary Feature.\u00a0 \u2018Smile Pinky\u2019 is a 39 minute-long documentary about a cleft-lip girl and her struggle for joy in an alienating society.
