\tDear Member, With great sorrow and regret we have to inform you that former senior journalist & club member and one of the well wisher of press club passed away on Friday June 28, 2013 evening at Mumbai. He was only 58. Charu, known for his coverage on politics was the political editor of The Economic Times. He started his career as a reporter with The Daily, then moved on to the Indian Express before moving to ET.<\/p>\n
\tAt the peak of his journalistic run he entered the corporate world joining Mahindra & Mahinra and later moved to ICICI Bank as Vice President, Corporate Communications. He was last employed with Tata Steel. He is survived by his wife Nivedita, son Gaurav and daughter Aditi. Our heart goes out to his family and may they have the strength to bear this huge loss.<\/p>\n
