Am not the only journalist whom Arindham Chaudhary who can hardly manage his companies' financial affairs though he dares to dare youth to "dare to dream beyond the IIMs".<\/p>\n\tWould like to share some of my letters to IIPM\/Planman Media with friends and colleagues, particularly those in the Planman media, and like me, are struggling to get their salary and arrears that invariably run into many, many months! \tDear Arindam,<\/p>\n \tAt the outset, let me wish you a very happy new year, albeit a bit late. But who can appreciate and pardon the delay more than you? I am still awaiting the release of my salary arrears from August 2012 onwards! As are many others who worked with me at The Sunday Indian.<\/p>\n \tI write this mail to you in the hope that you, as the man at the helm of affairs, and whose smiling face shows up from countless ads all over the country, can be more helpful than others in Planman.<\/p>\n \tI have been corresponding with Sandeep from October onward, without any worthwhile response, and lately with no response whatsoever. I have even begun to wonder whether he updates you about the state of affairs in the organization– or disorganization, whatever you would \tIn fact Sandeep had the audacity to suggest that I was working for two establishments at a time when I was right there in office, for everyone to see ! How I would really like to be a Mr India !<\/p>\n \tEmployees totally dependent on monthly salaries to pay rent,EMIs,medical bills, school fees, and even feed themselves and their family, are in a pathetic state. I have personally loaned some of them money for fees as I am committed to educating children.<\/p>\n \tOn two occasions, we were given salaries in 12 installments, which means 11 out of 12 of them were delayed payments of payments already delayed. More importantly, a person getting about 36,000 rupees can hardly pay rent, fees etc etc with 3000 rupees ! I would really like you to try and understand this sad state of affairs.<\/p>\n \tWhat surprises me even the more is that you run management schools where students are taught financial management, good HR practices etc. Are you teaching and doing the wrong thing, or are the lessons you learnt failing you in the fast changing world?<\/p>\n \tAnyway, all I am interested is that I, along with my colleagues, get our full salaries at the earliest. The date of payment is constantly being delayed, and your top management staff have forgotten the courtesy and good practice of a reply. I hope it is not too much to expect one from you.<\/p>\n \tYou started out with great dreams. And like King Fisher's Vijay Mallya, you are floundering.
