The police action followed a complaint lodged by the injured scribe, Jitendra Mohanty.<\/p>\n<p>Mohanty said he went to Das&#8217;s residence to cover CBI&#8217;s simultaneous raids at several places in Bhubaneswar in connection with a chit fund fraud, involving Swastik India. Das was former promoter-cum-president of Swastik India.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I had no idea whether or not the CBI personnel were present at Das&#8217;s house. Since Das was associated with the company, I had gone to click photographs of his house. The moment I reached his house, his goons dragged me inside and assaulted me.
