आसाराम मामले के पानीपत निवासी गवाह महेंद्र चावला ने अपने ऊपर हुए हमले के बाद आज मुज़फ्फरनगर के गवाह अखिल गुप्ता की हत्या मामले में न्याय दिलाने में मदद कर रहे आईपीएस अफसर अमिताभ ठाकुर से फोन पर संपर्क किया.
चावला ने उन्हें बताया कि उन्हें आसाराम और उनके बेटे नारायण साईं के अलावा किसी अन्य पर कोई शंका नहीं है, जो उनके द्वारा नारायण के बॉडीगार्ड हनुमान, बिजिनेस पार्टनर राजेन्द्र और पानीपत के लोकल पार्टनर निशांत धनधड जैसे लोगों के सहयोग से किया गया है.
चावला ने बताया कि पूर्व में उनसे पांच सादे कागजों पर साइन करवाया गया था जिसके आधार पर उन्हें उन कागजों पर सुसाइड नोट लिख कर मारने और डेड बॉडी भी नहीं मिलने की धमकी मिलती रही.
ठाकुर ने इस बारे में एसपी पानीपत राहुल शर्मा से बात की तो उन्होंने बताया कि अब तक विवेचना में इनके अलावा किसी अन्य व्यक्ति पर शंका नहीं सामने आई है और वे शीघ्र नारायण साईं की पेशी वारंट लेंगे.
ठाकुर ने इन तथ्यों से हरियाणा के डीजीपी को अवगत कराते हुए व्यक्तिगत पर्यवेक्षण करने का अनुरोध किया है. उन्होंने केन्द्रीय गृह सचिव को ऐसे सभी मामलों को एक साथ देखे जाने और डीजीपी यूपी से हरियाणा पुलिस से समन्वय स्थापित करा कर मुज़फ्फरनगर केस में तत्परता से कार्यवाही कराने का अनुरोध किया है.

Asaram case witness Mahendra Chawla, recently attacked in Panipat, today telephoned IPS officer Amitbh Thakur, who is pursuing the murder case of Asaram follower Akhil Kumar Gupta in Muzaffarnagar.
Chawla said that there is no doubt about the complicity of Asaram and his son Narayan Sai, who he said have done this with support from Narayan’s bodyguard Hanuman, business partner Rajendra and Panipat resident Nishant Dhandhad etc.
Chawla said that previously Narayan had kept 5 of his signed blank papers, always threatening of murder if he opened his mind and getting it framed as suicide through suicide note on these papers.
Thakur called SP Panipat Rahul Sharma who admitted that no far no other reason for this violent attempt has come and they shall soon be bringing Narayan on production warrant.
Thakur informed DGP Haryana of these facts requesting him to look into the matter personally. He also requested Union Home Secretary to see all the incidence related with Asaram witnesses in a holistic manner and DGP, UP to coordinate with Haryana police to unravel Muzaffarnagar murder.
