Friends, this is to kindly bring into your attention about a FIR case filed in the Safdarjung Enclave police station. In the month of June, a businessman Mr.Joy (name changed) from Kerala got a call from Mr. Deepak Varma (name used by the agent, which maybe fraud name) in response to the advertisement given by Joy seeking MBBS admission for his son in a reputed college at a reasonable price. Deepak asked Joy to come to Delhi and that he will get an admission done in the Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi, under the Central Pool Quota which is reserved for minister’s children. He told the payment is of only 16 lakhs in total and should be in cash. Joy felt something wrong and told that if any sort of fraudulence is observed he will catch him as he has many political influences. However, Deepak said not to worry.
Joy along with his wife and son set out to Delhi via train with 14 lakhs cash and 2 lakhs DD. Upon reaching Delhi, Deepak met with them and explained the procedures for admission. He told there is a counseling session going on, first the student has to go in with the money and later on the parents will be called to attend the session. He also presented a document under the Government of India letter pad which states that the student is placed in the central pool quota by the Kapil Sibal, which also includes the seal and signature of the minister. He was very particular about the document; he kept on insisting that this document cannot be given and that he can only show it.
Deepak took the student with him into the college and upon reaching a deserted hallway; he snatched away the bag and took off. Though the student tried to follow, he couldn’t find him. Soon he informed his parents. Luckily they took pictures of the document and Deepak’s photo without him knowing. With all these evidences they immediately went to the Safdarjung Police Station. And they also said that no one should know about this matter as this involves the minister. So this will be handled hush-hush.
Now it’s been nearly five months. With all these evidences the police could do nothing. Are they sleeping? Or did they get a share of the money? Last month Joy called the police to follow up, and they said it’s taken up by the CBI. So is the CBI snoring? Or did they also get the share? Or is the Minister Kapil Sibal himself involved in medical admission scam? If they can’t solve a case in which they have the photo of the culprit and they have documents and mobile numbers, why can’t they catch him? Busy sleeping, eating and making pot bellies I guess.
A similar incident happened last year, where the parents sold their home to arrange 25 lakhs for admission in the same college. This was also reported in the newspapers. Is this a plan which also involves the Vardhman Mahavir medical college authorities? Here also attached is the letter and photo of the culprit. If any justice can be done to this family to get their money back, please help them. Moreover, this is also a fair warning to those who will fall in this trap.
