IPS officer Amitabh Thakur today met social media journalist Jagendra Singh in Civil hospital, Lucknow who was burnt around 60% during the police raid in his house at Awas Vikas colony, Sadar Bazar, Shahjehanpur. During the meet, Sri Jagendra said that all this was done by Sadar inspector S P Rai at the behest of State minister Ram murti Verma.
He said even previously he had been attacked on 28 April by Sri Verma’s men but no action has so far been taken in that case. He said the minister considers him responsible for the rape allegations made against him and is annoyed by this. Sri Jagendra said he has to face all this because of having exposed the various wrong doings of the minister including his illegal grabbing of land and other misuse of power. Sri Thakur talked to SP Shahjehanpur requesting him to take strong neutral action in this case. He also wrote to DGP A K Jain requesting to issue appropriate directions.
