Dear Friends, The process of IFWJ’s Presidential Election has begun after the announcement of the names of Dr. Debashish Bose of Bihar as the CRO and Dr. Upendra Padhi of Odisha as the ACRO at Bhubaneswar on 21.06.2015 by the IFWJ President K Vikram Rao. The Nomination for the post of the President can be filed from Tuesday, July 7. The last date for sending the list of the members along with their Subscription fee to the IFWJ headquarters was 30 June 2015. Membership list and quota-money received after 30.06.2015 will not be included in the Electoral roll for the IFWJ Presidential Election.
Along with the election of the post of President, the State Returning Officers will also conduct the elections for the National Councilors and the Delegates. The State Executives are requested to inform about the their State Returning Officers (SROs) to the IFWJ headquarters as well as to the CRO and the ACRO. Non-refundable security money of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) will have to be deposited by the candidate contesting for the post of the President, the details of which are given below.
The candidates for the National Council will have to deposit Rs. 100/- and a Delegate will have to pay Rs. 30/- as non-refundable security money in the IFWJ account. The nomination for the post of the President has to come at least from five states. The number of proposers from all states should not be less than 454 (rpt. 454) i.e. 1/15th of the total voters. The number of proposers should not be less than 10 members from a state proposing for the post of the President.
At least two persons must propose the name for the nomination for the National Council and one for the Delegate. The election of the National Council or will be done in the ratio of 40;1 i.e, for every 40 ordinary member one National Councilor will be elected. The number of Delegates from each state will be equivalent to the number of the National Councilors. Nominations not found in conformity with the IFWJ election rules will be summarily rejected.
The last date of receiving the nomination for the post of President is 25th July and the scrutiny will be done on 27th July at the IFWJ headquarters at New Delhi. Election, if necessary will be held on 22nd August and the result will be declared on 5th September 2015. However, in case of no election, the result will be declared on 27th July by 5.00 p.m, itself.
In case the election for the post of the President becomes unavoidable, the detail procedure for conducting the same will be communicated to the State Returning Officers (SRO’s) by the Central Returning Officer (CRO) and his deputy within a week after the scrutiny. The respective State Returning Officers will conduct the elections for the National Councilors and Delegates.
The electoral list, duly certified by the Secretary General, can be obtained from the IFWJ Headquarters by paying to Rs.3,500/- in cash to the Office Secretary- Sribhagwan Bhardwaj. Those who want the list to be sent by the courier or the speed post must send Rs. 3,700/- in the IFWJ Accounts.
The elections for other Office Bearers including the members of the Working Committee will be held at the time of the delegate session. Only the National Coucilors will be entitled to elect the Office Bearers and Working Committee members. The format of the nomination papers has already been emailed to Presidents and the General Secretaries of the valid and eligible units, The nomination papers duly proposed and seconded by the members can be sent to the IFWJ Office by email as well as in the
hardcopy, lt can also be emailed to the CRO- Dr. Debashish Bose and the ACRO- Dr. Upendra Padhi on their respective email [email protected] and [email protected] ids.
