: How you have not done a story on such an important issue yet? : Hi, I always appreciate the way you have covered the news over the years without biasness. I want to bring your attention towards a very important issue. A few Islamist fundamentalists have attacked on author Satyapal Chandra’s house and affixed vulgar posters and threatened to kill him for his recently released 10th novel ‘When Heaven Falls Down’. I found this news on a few news channels and blog and thought this would be related to freedom of expression. Author contact no is 09958347679, which I have found from a blog where he has issued his public statement. I am sure this would be an interesting story for your readers.

Here is PTI news…
Author’s house attacked in Bihar
Patna : An upcoming writer’s house here was allegedly attacked by members of a particular community accusing him of hurting their religious sentiments. Satyapal Chandra claimed that some persons targeted his house in Malhari village of Gaya district on the intervening night of July 1 and 2 and shouted slogans against him. Chandra, currently in New Delhi, told PTI that his parents, who live in his Gaya house, lodged a complaint with Imamganj Police Station.
A complaint has been registered under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC against unidentified miscreants, Imamganj SHO R K Pandey said. Chandra’s book “When Heaven Falls Down” is centered around the issue of ‘love jihad’ and communal conflagrations.
