The countdown has begun… I had earlier thought that this Union Government may last another 2 years from now ( it will certainly not complete its 5 year term ) but now I think its life is only 1 year more at most. Consider the facts :

<p>The countdown has begun... I had earlier thought that this Union Government may last another 2 years from now ( it will certainly not complete its 5 year term ) but now I think its life is only 1 year more at most. Consider the facts :</p>

1. The vikas slogan has proved totally hollow and sham, while price rise and unemployment are rising, which is bound to lead to mass agitations against it soon.

2. Dissensions within the BJP are mounting, as a small cabal of Modi, Amit Shah and Jaitley had captured the party, as Arun Shourie , and now Advani, Murli Manohar Josshi, Yashwant Sinha and Shanta Kumar have said openly, destroying its consensual nature and emasculating it. Many BJP MPS like Shatrughan Sinha, Hukumdev Narain Yadav and Ashwini Kumar Chaubey, etc are openly in revolt

3. The OROP agitation has restarted, with armed forces veterans rejecting the Government offer. This agitation is different from other agitations, e.g. the Patel agitation in Gujarat or the workers agitations. These people may have retired, but they have close connection with the serving armed forces personnel ( through their regimental centre reunions, etc ), and the serving personnel are bound to be affected by their propaganda, especially since the serving personnel are also one day going to retire.
The armed forces people have the gun, while people in other agitations do not, and power grows out of the barrel of a gun. So they may do a Cromwell or Napoleon on the Govt. one day

4. The Govt. of India’s economic policy of giving concessions to foreign businesses is going to have serious adverse reactions, as foreign businesses entering India means that our domestic industries will be forced to close down, causing further unemployment. The jobs these foreign businesses will generate will be far less than the jobs they destroy, as they are much more capital intensive, rather than labour intensive.as compared to our domestic industries.

5. After the Bihar elections opposition parties have tasted blood, and they are bound to intensify their moves against this government.

So the countdown has begun…
