A PIL has been filed in Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court in Shailesh Agrawal case where names of two ex DGPs A C Sharma and A L Banerjee have come as having taken money through Shailesh. Dr Nutan Thakur, counsel for the petitioner Center for Civil Liberties said that the petition seeks CBI enquiry in the entire matter. It also seeks judicial enquiry into this case so as to check the rampant Dalal (tout) system in UP government.
As per the petition, after coming in open names of two ex DGPs and many other IAS and IPS officers being involved in this case, the local police cannot undertake proper and independent investigation, particularly when his clout is visible by 14 gunners he had got from the State administration. Hence the cases shall be transferred to CBI. Similarly presenting facts about large scale dalali that has emerged in this case, the PIL seeks a judicial commission to enquire this matter and to suggest ways to end dalal system in UP government.
