दैनिक भास्कर का कमीनापन

Samar Anarya : दैनिक भास्कर के संपादक को जेनयू की छात्रा के चरित्र की हत्या करने का हक किसने दे दिया है? हिम्मत कैसे हुई इस अखबार की यह कहने की कि मौत से जूझ रही वह लड़की हत्यारे के साथ सेक्स कर चुकी थी? संपादक महोदय उस कमरे में मौजूद थे क्या? और अगर रहे भी हों तो उस बेशर्म को यह पता तो होगा कि भारत जैसे घटिया पितृसत्तात्मक समाज में ऐसी खबरें छापने पर उस लड़की की जिंदगी पर क्या असर पड़ सकता है?

वैसे तो दैनिक भास्कर यह कमीनापन हमेशा से करता रहा है पर इस बार उसको सबक सिखाने का वक़्त आ गया है. उनसे माफी मंगवाने और इस गलीज स्टोरी को लेखक और वेबसाईट संपादक को धक्के मार के भास्कर से निकाले जाने तक चुप बैठ गए तो हमारे जेनयू का होने पर लानत होगी. खैर, तब तकमहिला आयोग और प्रेस काउन्सिल को भेजी जा रही पेटीशन साइन करना न भूलें.

Dainik Bhaskar has outraged the modesty of a girl student of Jawaharlal Nehru University who is struggling for her life and attempted to assassinate her character. The story can be read here.Further, the newspaper has a habit of publishing such sick stories for getting traffic to its website and thus reinforces ptriarchal mindset thereby exposing women to more violence.

Dear Chairperson,

I am writing to regarding very disgusting and misogynist photo story published by Dainik Bhaskar in its website. The story assassinates the character of a female student of Jawaharlal Nehru University who is battling for her life after getting assaulted by a classmate who later committed suicide.
The very title of the story in Hindi ""बदले के लिए करना चाहता था मर्डर: सेक्‍स तक कर चुकी थी गर्लफ्रेंड, पर बाद में उड़ाने लगी मजाक" not only sensationalises the gruesome assault for catching eyeballs but also is factually incorrect. How did the author of the story knew that the victim has had sex with the attacker? The sick conclusion has been drawn by a line in the suicide note written by the attacker which asserts that " हमारे बीच बहुत कुछ था".

As you are aware, such a defamatory story can destroy the life of the survivors of such attacks in our patriarchal society.
