Dear All,
I regret to share this shocking incident.
Four of our colleagues in TV Today – Jofree Shimray, Rajit Banerjee, Manish Tiwari, and Hammad Ur Rahman – were found to be using the company’s resources, equipment, and associations to blatantly deliver professional services to another agency.
Commonly called “moonlighting”, this action not only violates an employment contract but also basic values. No member of our organization, in any capacity, may work for monetary or non-monetary benefits with another institution or individual. What saddens me even more is that these employees have been with the Group for many years and we placed our implicit trust in them.
We conducted a complete investigation and found sufficient evidence to satisfy ourselves before confronting these employees.
The India Today Group has zero tolerance towards breach of Code of Conduct and integrity. After due consultation with members of top management, I have decided to take strict action. These employees have been terminated with immediate effect and we will press formal charges against them.
