पंजाब का जाने पहचाने चैनल पीटीसी न्यूज पर चुनाव के दौरान आरोप लग रहे थे कि उसने अकाली एवं भाजपा गंठबंधन की सरकार को फायदा पहुंचाने के लिए करार कर रखा है. अकाली दल के पक्ष में खबरें दिखाई जा रही हैं, परन्तु पीटीसी प्रबंधन ने हर बार इससे इनकार किया तथा किसी भी दल से इस तरह का एलायंस होने की बात को खारिज कर दिया. पर अकाली-बीजेपी गंठबंधन की पंजाब में जीत के बाद पीटीसी ग्रुप के अध्यक्ष रबींद्र नारायण का मेल इन सारी बातों को गलत साबित कर रहा है.
अध्यक्ष ने अपने सहयोगियों को बधाई देते हुए भेजा गया मेल खुद सारी कहानी कह रहा है. इस मेल से साबित हो रहा है कि पीटीसी न्यूज ने पत्रकारिता के मानकों से हटकर अकाली दल एवं भाजपा को फायदा पहुंचाने का काम किया था. नीचे रबींद्र नारायण द्वारा भेजा गया ई-मेल-

I was flooded with compliments through out the day. Everyone had one opinion. PTC has a lot of credit in Akali victory today. People lifted me in exuberation and I felt proud for all of us. They were not lifting me in air…. It was all of us being lifted in air. It was PTC. Wish YOU were there to see the respect and awe in the eyes of people for PTC.
All through the last five years, each one of you at PTC worked against odds, amidst criticism and faced threats and rebukes. In recent times, our reporters were pushed, shoved, publicly insulted and humiliated. But creditably none of us retaliated to pressures put on us by Congress and its leaders. We maintained our dignity and stature.
PTC chose to stay quiet and let its work speak. Its voice became the voice of Punjab. Those who boycotted PTC, today stand boycotted by Punjab. And all this became possible due to the untiring efforts of each of the PTC team member. Well done. Keep it up.
The challenge now is to set new standards of excellence. Let us celebrate the spirit of PTC and rededicate ourselves into building a strong, dignified, authentic and the best regional television network with strong values. In the meanwhile, bask in glory. I am proud to be a part of TEAM PTC.
