एनडीटीवी छोड़कर पंकज पचौरी पीएम मनमोहन सिंह के मीडिया एडवाइजर बनने गए लेकिन गए तो फिर वे ऐसे खो गए कि कुछ अता पता ही नहीं चल रहा है. हालांकि कहने वाले कहते हैं कि जबसे पंकज पचौरी पीएम के मीडिया एडवाइजर बने हैं, तबसे मीडिया में पीएम की छवि और ज्यादा खराब हुई है. अब कोयला घोटाल का सीधे सीधे आरोप पीएम पर लगने लगा है. घपलों, घोटालों, खराब आर्थिक हालातों, महंगाई आदि की जननी केंद्र की यूपीए सरकार की जैसी किरकिरी इन दिनों मीडिया और उसके पाठकों के बीच हो रही है, वैसी कभी नहीं हुई. पंकज पचौरी सीन से गायब दिख रहे हैं. जहां उन्हें होना चाहिए, वहां भी वे नहीं दिखते. इसी हालत पर इंडिया टुडे मैग्जीन के गासिप सेक्शन में एक खबर पंकच पचौरी पर है, जो इस प्रकार है–

The prime minister’s communications adviser, Pankaj Pachauri, chose to remain, quote inexplicably, incommuncado for the press delegation accompanying Manmohan Singh on his historic trip to Myanmar capital Nay Pyi Taw, the first visit by the Indian prime minister in 25 years.
Pachauri did not intereact with the media on the PM’s special flight. He missed the foreign secretary’s press conference at the conclusion of the prime minister’s talks with his Myanmarese counterpart. He was not even seen in the hotel at which the media was staying.
Little wonder that the Prime Minister’s media image is taking a battering.
