: मैंने यूपीए सरकार बचाई शीला दीक्षित के साथ मिलकर : नई दिल्ली- अमर सिंह मानते हैं कि उत्तर प्रदेश के आगामी विधान सभा चुनावों में मुलायम से आगे हैं मायावती। वे फिर से सत्तासीन भी होने जा रही हैं। हालांकि उनकी दिली ख्वाहिश है, ''मैं तो चाहता हूं कि उत्तर प्रदेश में सरकार कांग्रेस की ही बने।'' उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि वे माया को मुलायम से बेहतर स्थिति में इसलिए नहीं बता रहे हैं क्योंकि उनकी और मुलायम के बीच हाल के दौर में दूरियां बढ़ी हैं और संबंध कटु हुए हैं। अमर के मुताबिक- मेरा मानना है कि मायावती के ऊपर भ्रष्टाचार के अलावा कोई आरोप नहीं लग सकता। कई घोटालों में आरोपित कांग्रेस उस पर भ्रष्टाचार का तो आरोप लगाने से बचेगी।''
न्यूज24 की प्रधान सम्पादक सुश्री अनुराधा प्रसाद के साथ उनके साप्ताहिक कार्यक्रम ‘आमने-सामने’ में सवालों की बौछार के बेबाकी से उत्तर दे रहे अमर सिंह ने साफ कहा कि वे तो मायावती का समर्थन करते हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने पूर्वांचल राज्य स्थापित करने की पहल की। “हालांकि मायावती ने उन्हें मिलने तक का भी समय नहीं दिया, वे फिर भी मानते हैं कि उन्होंने पूर्वांचल के विकास का रास्ता साफ कर दिया है अलग राज्य की पहल करके,'' वे मायावती को अपने समर्थन देने की वजह का खुलासा करते हैं।
''क्या आपने कभी सोचा था कि आपको तिहाड़ जेल के अंदर भी वक्त गुजारना पड़ेगा?'' अपनी जेल यात्रा से आहत अमर सिंह कहने लगे, ''उस मामले में मुझे डेढ़ करोड़ रुपये के मुचलके पर रिहा किया गया, वहीं अन्य सभी को एक-दो लाख रुपये के मुचलके पर जमानत मिल गई। इसका मतलब तो यह हुआ कि मैं ही देश का सबसे बड़ा अपराधी हूं।''
अपनी बात को आगे बढ़ाते हुए उन्होंने संभवत: पहली बार रहस्योद्घाटन किया कि उन्होंने दिल्ली की मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित के साथ मिलकर केन्द्र की यूपीए सरकार बचाई थी। हमने पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों के सांसदों का समर्थन मनमोहन सरकार के पक्ष में जुटाया था। ''उत्तर प्रदेश में किसकी सरकार बनने की संभावना नजर आ रही है?'' अमर सिंह ने कहा कि मैं तो बसपा को सपा से आगे देख रहा हूं। जहां तक सपा का सवाल है, तो उसे पिछले प्रदेश विधान सभा के चुनावों में मात्र 142 सीटें मिलीं थीं जबकि उसके हक में तमाम जातियों के बड़े नेता और बालीवुड का भी समर्थन था। इस बार तो सपा के पास उस तरह का समर्थन भी नहीं है।
''पर सर्वेक्षणों में कहा जा रहा है कि बसपा-सपा के बीच कांटे की टक्कर है?'' अपने नए और विशिष्ट अंदाज में अमर सिंह कहने लगे, ''आप याद करें तमिलनाडू विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले आए सर्वेक्षणों को। सब द्रमुक और अन्नाद्रमुक के बीच कड़ी टक्कर ही बता रहे थे, पर बाद जो कुछ हुआ सबको पता है।”
समाजवादी पार्टी के चुनावों में बहुमत हासिल करने पर संभावित मुख्यमंत्री से संबंधित पूछे गए एक सवाल पर उनका कहना था कि मुलायम सिंह यादव चाहेंगे कि अखिलेश ही मुख्यमंत्री बनें। इसमें कोई बुराई भी नहीं है। जब कांग्रेस की चाहत है कि नेतृत्व राहुल गांधी संभाले और शरद चाहते हैं कि उनकी उत्तराधिकारी उनकी पुत्र सुप्रिया सुले हो तो मुलायम का अखिलेश को मुख्यमंत्री बनाने में कुछ भी तो गलत नहीं है। ''क्या उनके समाजवादी पार्टी में फिर से शामिल होने की कोई संभावना है?'' इस सवाल को सुनते ही अमर सिंह भड़क गए। फिर कहने लगे, ''मैं भिक्षा मांग लूंगा, पर वहां वापस नहीं लौटूंगा।''

‘I saved UPA govt with Sheela Dikshit’
New Delhi : Ailing but alert Amar Singh predicates Mayawati retaining her control over power in UP post forthcoming assembly elections,even though as he himself says, “ I wish Congress form the government in UP.” In an interview with Ms.Anurradha Prasad for her weekly show ‘Aamne-Samne’,the former strongman of Samajwadi Party, Amar Singh says that despite all out effort to grab the power in the last elections, Samajwadi Party able to muster barely 142 seats. “ That was the time when SP had leaders from all castes and communities and also getting support from stars like Sanjay Dutt. The situation has changed since then,” he felt.
‘Will your Lok Manch support BSP in Uttar Pradesh ?’ “ Of course, I support Mayawati as she has supported our cause in taking the lead in carving out Purvanchal from Uttar Pradesh”, Amar Singh said, adding , “ Even she took the lead in this regard purely on political reasons, she did what we really wanted for the overall development of backward Purvanchal region.”
Replying to another question, Amar Singh said even though Mayawati has not given him time for a meeting, he still feels that BSP has an edge over SP as there is no charge against her (Mayawati) other than corruption. “ This is not possible for Congress to pin her down on this ground after it is also under soup due to series of scams like 2G and CWG.
‘Surveys predicting photo-finish between SP and BSP in UP ?’ Citing the results of previous election surveys, Amar Singh said that in the last assembly elections of Tamil Nadu, surveys predicated close fight between DMK and AIADMK. However, those who did the survey eat the dust.
‘Who would be the Chief Minister of UP if Samajwadi Party gets the majority?’ “ I believe that Mulayam Singh would give way to Akhilesh Yadav to become the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. I feel there is nothing wrong if he does that after all Congress too wants to anoint Rahul Gandhi as the leader of the party. Sharad Pawar also feels the same way for her daughter,Supriya Sule,” Amar Singh told us.
‘Will he rejoin Samajwadi Party ?’ “ I can beg on the street, but it is unthinkable for me to join SP once again,” he made it clear.
‘Did you ever thought that one day you would have to stay behind Tihar Jail?’ And taking a gentle dig on the court order, Amar Singh said, “ While all the accused in the cash for vote case were granted the bail on a cash surety of Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 2 lakh, I got the bail after surety of whopping Rs.1.50 crore. And it is true that I worked overtime along with Delhi Chief Minister Sheela Dikshit to get the support of MPs from North-Eastern states in order to save the government.”
