Joseph Steps Down as Editor Open Magazine
New Delhi: Editor in Chief of Open magazine, Manu Joseph has resigned from Open Media Network, a media venture of Sanjiv Goenka Group. PR Ramesh will take over the reins as the new Managing Editor.
Open Magazine was in news of late when Hartosh Singh Bal, its erstwhile political editor, was asked to leave the journal. Bal had hinted to moving court in the pursuit of a better severance deal, but nothing of the sort happened.
PR Ramesh resigned as political editor from The Economic Times in December. It was well known that he would be joining Open and the decision by Manu Joseph to step down has come as a surprise to many of his colleagues. The journalistic circle, however, sees this as a logical step after Hartosh S Bal's exit.
