Dear Members, I would like to bring to your attention, a recent notice issued to me by the Secretary General that accused me of having two outstanding bills in my name. The first bill pertains to a party on the eve of the Club Elections and second to the victory party after election results were declared. The Governing Council in its meeting on October 31, 2013 reviewed the notice and recorded its observations that have been e-mailed to you and copy of the same have been put up on the club notice board.
Both these bills are not my personal bills. The first bill mentioned by the Secretary General is in respect of the remaining payment of the party organized on the eve of elections. This was thrown by the entire penal and not by me alone. However the amount has already been paid with penal interest so that club does not suffer.
The second bill pertains to the Victory Party after election results were declared. As per rules it being a club activity some portion of this bill has to be borne by the club and remaining by the governing council members. How I am alone being held responsible for it’s non-payment.
The Secretary General too had a part to pay in both these bills that she chose to ignore. On the contrary she issued a notice to me as if they were my personal bills. This is totally wrong and mischievous act that appears to have been instigated by some anti-club elements.
The Governing Council has decided to take-up the matter to the General Body. Whatever decision the General Body comes-out with, will be acceptable to me as well as all members of the Governing Council.
My team has always been dedicated to the welfare of the club and to ensure its growth and transparent functioning. Therefore, please don’t be misled by false and malicious propaganda by vested interests to harm this institution. If the intention behind the show-cause notice were genuine then it would have been sent to me for my response and not circulated before hearing my version on the issue.
