जितेंद्र प्रताप सिंह [email protected] ने भड़ास को मेल करके सूचित किया है कि बिना बात डाक्टरों और मीडियाकर्मियों की हड्डियां तोड़ने वाले कानपुर के एसएसपी यशस्वी यादव का 'सुयश' महाराष्ट्र में भी खूब रहा है. बहुत कम लोगों को जानकारी होगी कि आज जो यशस्वी यादव कानपुर समेत पूरे देश में विवाद का विषय बना हुआ है, वो असल में महाराष्ट्र कैडर का आईपीएस अधिकारी है.
इन महोदय पर पहले भी कई गंभीर आरोप लग चुके हैं. महिला पुलिस कांस्टेबल ने यौन शोषण का आरोप कई पुलिस अफसरों पर लगाया था और यशस्वी यादव से न्याय की गुहार लगाई थी लेकिन ये जनाब चुप्पी साधे रहे और अपने अधीनस्थ को संरक्षित करते रहे.
जब ये कोल्हापुर में पोस्टेड थे तब महिला पुलिस कांस्टेबलों ने डिपार्टमेंट के अफसरों पर यौन शोषण का आरोप लगाकर पूरे भारत में सनसनी मचा दी थी. केस दर्ज हुआ और अफसरों को पुलिस सेवा से बर्खास्त करने की मांग तक होने लगी. तब महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने यशस्वी यादव को लापरवाह मानते हुए तबादला कर दंडित किया था.
बाद में किस्मत ने अचानक पलटी खाई और यूपी में सपा का शासन आ गया. अखिलेश यादव से अपनी नजदीकी के बल पर यशस्वी यादव का राष्ट्रपति से मिलकर कैडर बदलवाया गया और कानपुर के कप्तान पद पर ताजपोशी कराई गई.

Kolhapur sex scandal: RR cracks down on top cops

Home Minister RR Patil has transferred superintendent of police (SP) of Kolhapur, Yashaswi Yadav, for being unable to keep an eye on officers involved in the sex scandal in which some women police constables have accused their seniors of rape. Deputy superintendent of police (home) Vijay Parkale and inspector Dnyaneshwar Mundhe have been suspended.
“We have received the interim report by additional superintendent of police, Nashik, Maithili Jha and have acted on it.
The case will be passed on to Pune police chief Meeran Borwankar. The charge sheet will be filed after that and a report will be out in the next 10 days,” Patil said on Friday.
Police constable Yuvraj Kamble, the main accused in the case, charged with raping a woman trainee police constable, has already been arrested and suspended.
Kamble, who was training new recruits, had allegedly invited one of the women constables to his house and promised to give her the question paper of the exam to be held the next morning. When she went to his house, he allegedly raped her.
The scandal came to light when a routine medical test of the women police recruits revealed that two of them were pregnant.
“Tests were performed on 71 girls and one of the two found pregnant was unmarried,” Patil said.
Following this, Kamble was arrested. The woman constable, who was found pregnant, lodged a complaint with the Shahpuri police station of the Kolhapur police unit.
After that, at least 11 women constables – all fresh recruits – alleged that they, too, had been sexually exploited by police instructors when they were undergoing training at Kolhapur’s police training school.
The newly recruited female constables were put through a medical test as it had been decided to send them for training to the police academy in Nagpur.
The test is mandatory for constables before they are sent for such programmes.

New cop sex abuse case in Kolhapur
May 25, 2011, Pune: A Month after a police sex scandal rocked Kolhapur following a woman constable's allegation of rape at the training centre there, a fresh case of sexual harassment has been reported in Chandgad taluka of the district.
In the latest case, a woman constable has accused her immediate senior inspector of sexually harassing her.
Human rights activists say the victim had even written a letter of complaint to the Home Minister R R Patil and the then district superintendent of police after the incident occurred four months ago, but the officials took no note of it.
It was only after protests by Chandgad taluka human right activists against Police Inspector D D Jadhav for the last one month that the accused was asked to hand over his charge to his subordinate officer.
Additional SP Sanjaysinh Yenpure contacted the office of the Director General of Police seeking permission for the immediate transfer of PI Jadhav.
According to sources, Jadhav had allegedly ordered the woman constable to come to his residence in Police Colony in Chandgad at night. When the constable demanded to know the reason behind his order, the officer had allegedly told her: "Being in the force for long, don't you understand why I am calling you to my residence at night?"
Yenpure ruled out registering an offence against the officer. "Jadhav was insisting that the complainant should be in constant touch with him and had also called her to his residence after working hours and had passed lewd remarks. However, a molestation case cannot be registered in this matter," he said.
Human rights activists said the senior officer's behaviour had so shocked the woman constable that she went on to seek justice from the then Kolhapur SP Yashasvi Yadav and Home Minister R R Patil. But as even after four months no action was taken against the officer, she raised the matter with the State Human Rights Commission.
According to Human Right Protection and Civil Liberty activists from Chandgad, the officer was sent on compulsory leave on Friday after being asked to hand over his charge to a subordinate officer. Advocate Santosh Malvikar, a human rights activist, said, "Since no action was taken even after four months of this incident in spite of the victim having written to Home Minister R R Patil and Yashasvi Yadav, we demanded action against the guilty officer by April 29. When even after that nothing happened, we finally went on a hunger strike and even conducted a jail bharo andolan, demanding action against the officer. As an impact of these protests, action was finally taken against the accused police inspector on Friday."
