Patna : The three-member Press Council Of India fact-finding team on Sunday, began its two-day hearing on the charges of state government’s pressure on journalists in Bihar. Senior journalist and the head of the team Rajiv Ranjan Nag said that a significant number of journalists and people from different streams of the society turned up before the team and recorded their verbal and documentary evidences in this connection.
“The hearing will continue on Monday and after collecting the relevant facts, the team will send a corresponding report in this connection,” he said. He further informed that in the next rounds of surveillance, the team will visit different districts of Bihar.The other members of the team are Kalyan Baruah and Arun Kumar.
