TV Today Network Ltd today posted 22.84% decline in net profit at Rs 7.33 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company's net profit for the January-March period of 2011 stood at Rs 9.50 crore. TV Today Network's total expenditure increased to Rs 78.32 crore during the fourth quarter of 2011-12, as against Rs 73.52 crore, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Also, in the fourth quarter of 2010-11, the company had 'other income' of Rs 2.83 crore, as against Rs 83 lakh in the fourth quarter of 2011-12 fiscal, which also had an impact on the net profit, it said. Its net sales for the quarter under review increased 4.79% to Rs 88.36 crore, against Rs 84.29 crore in the fourth quarter of previous financial year.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the media firm's net profit dropped 15.31% to Rs 10.51 crore, against Rs 12.41 crore in 2010-11. The firm's sales increased 5.11% to Rs 308.18 crore in 2011-12, compared to Rs 293.18 crore in 2010-2011. TV Today Network's scrip closed at Rs 54 per share, up 0.84% from the previous close on the BSE.
