New Delhi: An armed mob attacked the Zee Media office here and destroyed property and valuables on Monday. Protesters belonging to an outfit called the `Karni Sena` launched an attack over alleged misrepresentation of `Rajputs` portrayed in the TV show `Jodha Akbar` aired on the Zee TV channel.
Armed with assault weapons and daggers, the protesters raised slogans and destroyed property and valuables inside the premises. Police personnel stood in silence while the vandalism took place and barely made an effort to dispel the vandals. The incident has yet again raised questions on the security of media personnel in the city.
