Focus TV, Asia’s first news and current affairs channel for women has been conferred with the Great Women Award 2009 at a glittering ceremony in the capital. The award function was held by Aadhi Aabdi, a women based programme on DD News. The award was given to the channel for its outstanding performance as first women channel.
Channel’s output editor Gargee Bardoloi and consulting editor Rashmi Saksena jointly received the award. ”I am very thankful to Aadhi Aabadi for this honour. Focus Tv is all about women empowerment and I expect everyone to watch this channel,” said Gargee Bardoloi. The event commenced with some thrilling dance performances by girls on Bollywood numbers.
