एनडीटीवी ग्रुप के एनडीटीवी इमेजिन चैनल में अमेरिकी मीडिया कंपनी टर्नर ने 85.68 फीसदी हिस्सेदारी ली है। गौरतलब है कि एनडीटीवी ने पिछले साल ही इस बात का संकेत दिया था कि वह एनडीटीवी इमेजिन में प्रमुख हिस्सेदारी टर्नर एशिया पेसिफिक को बेचने जा रही है। इस सौदे से एनडीटीवी को कर्ज का बोझ उतारने में मदद मिलेगी।
बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज को एनडीटीवी की ओर से दी गई जानकारी के मुताबिक इस सौदे के बाद एनडीटीवी इमेजिन में टर्नर की हिस्सेदारी 85.68 फीसदी होगी। शेयर ट्रांसफर के जरिए इस सौदे का भुगतान 23 फरवरी को ही हो चुका है। पिछले साल दिसंबर में ही एनडीटीवी ने कहा था कि वह टर्नर को इमेजिन चैनल में करीब 67 फीसदी हिस्सेदारी बेचेगी। यह सौदा करीब 314 करोड़ रुपये में होने की संभावना थी। कंपनी ने इमेजिन की लांचिग 2008 में की थी। जानकारों के मुताबिक कंपनी के ऊपर खर्चों और कर्जों का दबाव बढ़ने की वजह से यह कदम उठाना पड़ा है। साभार : दैनिक भास्कर

sir, there is no other way out for the channels to stay in the market, unless they help each other or join hands togehter for telecast. In 1990 Cnn was the first channel in the world which telcast the direct war reporting from America and Iraq war during the senior Bush time . But the same CNN had to struggle economically hard to send as many reporters to the front during junior Bush regime. IN between, CNN had to ask partnership with AOL, Time, HBO and Warner Brothers. ND TV is its 5th partner. because one $ costs almost Rs 50 here,in India. To the best of my knoledge all most many of the channels are losing money and are fininanced by some foreign agencies.

if one looks at the history of CNN, Imagine is the one among the 5th partners besides AOL,Time, Warner Brothers and HBO.In 1990 CNN was the first channel in the History of world level broadcasting which aired the images directly from the war area to the millions of houses during America and Iraq war under the presidentship of Senior George Bush.The same CNN, during second time war between America and Iraq in 2003 during the leadership of Junior Bush, economically struggled hard to sent its as many reporters for coverages on the war fronts. A tv channel can not go alone for long because a lot of money is involved .They have to join hands or close down the channels.Barring few the most of the news papers and tv channels, who are on the verge of collapse or close their media factories, are looking forward to Indian partners. All most all the Hindi channels are being funded by those moghul who are likely to bind up their shops in American coutries.No wonder, tomorrow they might finance all such Hindi Channels of the country.
