समीर जैन और उनके मैनेजरों ने टाइम्स आफ इंडिया के संपादकीय पेज की ऐसी-तैसी करने की जो शुरुआत की, उसको आज अंग्रेजी दैनिक डेली न्यूज एंड एनालिसिस (डीएनए) ने एक मुकाम पर पहुंचा दिया है. आज डीएनए, मुंबई में पहले पेज पर एक खबर प्रकाशित हुई है. खबर क्या, इस अंग्रेजी अखबार के नए एडिटर इन चीफ आदित्य सिन्हा की तरफ से एक लंबी-चौड़ी सूचना. वो ये कि संपादकीय पेज खत्म. कोई नहीं पढ़ता इसे. इसकी जगह कमेंट्स व प्रतिक्रियाएं छपा करेंगी, न्यूज के पेजेज में, कमेंट्स जमकर छपा करेंगे. संपादक महोदय लिखते हैं-
….This does not mean DNA will shun analysis: after all, it’s part of our title. Instead, DNA will give you more comment, spread across the paper. For instance, today we have articles by experts on Mumbai, on corruption and on the China-US presidential meeting….
….Each will appear on a different news page. Otherwise, they’d appear on three consecutive edit pages…..
….DNA will give you more comment in the days to come; you’ve already seen it in the Money section, and you will even see it on the Sport pages. And it will all be interesting. DNA is doing away with the “leaders”, the 400-word unsigned editorials. Instead, as and when a news event warrants a stand by DNA, it will appear on page 1….

सम्पादकीय पेज की तरह अख़बारों से संपादक भी ख़त्म होते जा रहे हैं, यशवंत भाई…उनकी जगह अब मेनेजर लोग लेते जा रहे हैं.

akhbaaron ki jaan hoti hai,sampadkiy page. yadi yahi nahin rahi to kaahe ka akhbaar hai. theek hai ki is page ko padhne vaalon ki sankhya 1% hai, phir bhi iski ahmiyat to hai aur ise kinaara nahin kiya jaa sakta.
