: पुलिस से कहा कोर्ट से बाहर ले जाएं और एफआईआर दर्ज करें : माफी मांग कर पत्रकार ने बचाई जान : BANGALORE : A woman journalist working for a news agency was pulled up by Justice B V Pinto of the Karnataka high court on Thursday for chewing gum inside the court hall. The judge asked the police to take her away and instructed them to register an FIR against her.
The incident took place during the afternoon session, when the arguments began on the bail petitions filed by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and his former cabinet colleague Ess Enn Krisshnaiah Setty.
When there was noise outside the courthall, the judge instructed his staff to clear out those causing the disturbance . Then he turned his attention to the journalist who was in the court hall chewing gum. He asked her to stand up.
"I've been watching you since afternoon. You are chewing gum inside the courthall . It is an insult to the court,'' the judge said. The reporter offered an apology, but the judge asked the sentry to take her away. Later, she went to the judge's chamber and said sorry. No case was filed. Courtesy : TOI
