Well..best wishes to Udai Sinha for his new assignment.
However, there are two more things I need to mention.
1. Any organisation which publicly berates and besmirches a former employee just cannot be trusted as professional. The allegations slapped on Naveen may or may not be true. But the manner in which his former employers have belittled him in public is a telling comment on the conduct of Channel 1.
Besides, the gentleman who drafted this press release surely requires some training in English Grammar and syntax.
Why do you write in English if you cannot write it correctly?

aur channel one ki soch kya hai ye is baat se hi saaf hoti hai ki jis article me wo kisi ka swagat kar rahen hain..unke bare me mahaz ek paragraph hai aur baki ki puri article to dusron par ugli uthani me barbaad kar diya….such a cheap thinking…jo achhe hoten hai wo duniya ki nazaron me apne aap hi aa jaten hai..unki achhayi khud b khud pata chal jati hai…duniya ko chhila chhilakr batane ki jarurat nahi hoti…channel one ko to ye tak nahi pata hai ki jab press release likah jata hai to aap apni badayi karo na ki do tihayi hissa dusron ki burayi karne me laga do…..uday sir hai to kafi achhen lekin bahut jald channel one ko unki bhi burayi nazar aane lagegi….
channel one na to kabhi achha tha aur na hi kabhi achha ho sakta hai….jab tak wahan malik ko bekar dimag dene wale log rahengen aur jabtak malik wahan in dimagwalon ki baaten sunte rahengen tab tak channel ka kuch bhala nahi ho sakta….

We are told that Zaheer Ahmed, Chairman of Channel One is a builder, but he starts a channel without knowing abc of the journalism…..now he claims that it was mistake to hire Naveen Kumar who was out of journalism faternity for 6- 7 years. I know Naveen Kumar for the last 20 years. He has never been out of journalism fraternity. In fact his record as a criminal and political reporting is unmatched. He was the first person in electronic media to started half hourly crime programmes….he wrote a book on Madrasas……he has hundreds of expose and investigative reports to his credit. Channel One was also fortunate one for whom he produced several programmes on investigative journalism. I don’t think any one in Channel One (past or present) can match his achievement as a journalist. It was not Naveen Kumar who failed Channel One but it was the managment of Channel One who did not cooperate with Naveen Kumar. Channel One neither has enough man power nor technical resources……they copy breaking news and news footage from other news channels…when Naveen Kumar tried to improve the situation then the management did not listen to his suggestions. They ignored him completely. Naveen Kumar was not despotic but the management was. When employee requested Zaheer Ahmed to increase their salary (they are getting only Rs 3,000 per month), Zaheer Ahmed told them – tumhare pas channel bhatere hain to hamare pas majdoor kafi hain. It is pathetic. After that he mooted a suggestion that employees should work in 12 hour long shift…..but since he was not willing to spend money on pick and drop, this suggestion could not be implemented. The list is long to show how ignorant, despotic, inefficient and incapapble the Channel One management is. They can spend lakhs of rupees on anniversary party or iftar party but can not give proper salary to the employees. One may not believe but the truth is that the Channel One management prefers interns more to employees because they work for free. What to talk of HR policy in Channel One. They don’t have HR department in the first place. Their receptionist if their HR executive and accountant. They don’t have enough camera units and edit machines. Naveen Kumar dared to tell all these things to Zaheer Ahmed but Zaheer Ahmed was not bothered about all this. It is surprising but true that Channel One does not have any proper library. An electrician is working as its part time librarian. All these istances are enough to tell that it was Naveen Kumar who let the channel down but it was the management who not only let Naveen Kumar but its own channel down.
I have a sympathy with the new managing editor. I don’t know how will he react when he will get to know the harsh realities of Channel One…..what will he do when people from night shift will ask him to change their shift as they are working for the night shift for the past one year. I can’t wish good luck to the new managing editor because I know that he would not succeed as there is no infrastructure in Channel One. I know very soon he will also come out with a stab on his back……

Its really gr8 to know about a English Professor’s whose frustration is quite evident. Everyone is trying to prove a point here that Channel One is villain & Navin ( in previous discussion initiated by ……….) is a Media Guru.
This is for all: Doing business doesnt mean that you should have the relevant degree for the same. Its all about the acumen & association of right people in an organization. To quote a few,
Mr. Subhash Goel is not a journalist, i think?
Mr. Subrat Roy, Sahara Shri, too, is not a journalist…?
Mr. Dhiru Bhai Ambani never weave a fabric…

As a neutral person i simply feel that everything that is happening over here is not journalism. Its easy to criticize & blowing an issue out of proportion. By the way, why this hue & cry over this release… Is this the first time that someone is going out of the company…. Are u guys are being manipulated for the vested interest of ……………..????? who is this tall? if you really want to discuss the issues threadbare then first tell your name…..why using a fictitious name?……and for god sake don’t compare dhirubhai ambani, subhash goel, subrat ray sahara etc with zaheer ahmed. they are polls apart. subhas goel is a visionary…..his aims and objectives were very clear from the beginning…..where is Channel One even after one and a half year of its inception? what plan do you have for its future? people like subhash goel, subrat ray sahara etc know what is self respect and how to respect their employees….but what is the situation in Channel One? people are getting meagre salaries….there is no organisational structure….no facilities nothing? above all they don’t distort the facts. naveen kumar resigned from your channel long time back (it appeared in the bhadas4media then) but you are now pretending as if you you sacked him. why? people like subhash goel, subrat ray sahara etc part ways respectfully when they do not get along with some of their employees. they do not wash their dirty linen publicaly the way Channel One is doing. in short they have vision, maturity, clarity of thought and above all guts to own their decisions (right or wrong). zaheer ahmed does not seem to have any of them…..even if he has all these qualities, his actions don’t seem to vouch for him. sorry to say but news channels are not run the way Channel One is being run…..without proper manpower, techinical support and even proper news agencies…..it seems that Channel One is not a real news channel…..its a fake news channel where main motive is not news but some thing else

I don’t think you deserve a response. But, for the benefit of others let me reply to your meaningless message.
My stand stays the same: don’t right in English if you cannot. And once again you seems to have missed the basics—it’s an English professor and not “a English professor” —as you have written in the first sentence . You should know your vowels buddy.
Seems you are the one who penned that pathetic press release and shamed your organisation. And, dear Tall, your position will be drastically dwarfed if I edit your press release and email the errors it contains to the mandarins manning Channel 1 . Just think about the consequences. What will happen to your credentials?
And , I will do it if you take one more pot-shot. Watch your language. you incompetent, irremediable and inane press release writer.
But, beyond this, I have all sympathies for you. Please don’t feel embarrassed to write in Hindi.

बडे चापलूस लगते हो। खैर तुम कर भी क्या सकते हो… लेकिन ज़नाब सुब्रतो राय, सुभाष गोयल और धीरू भाई अंबानी के example ज़रा ज़हीर अहमद को भी दे देना। हां एक बात मैं जरूर कहना चाहूंगा कि बंदर के हाथ में उस्तरा पकड़ा देने से बंदर नाई नहीं बन जाता। ठीक उसी तरह से आपने जिन नामों के उदाहरण दिये हैं उनको देने से पहले उनकी तरक्की के पीछे का सार भी देखिए…। इन लोगों ने कभी अपने employee को servant नहीं समझा। कभी किसी कारण से उन पर हाथ नहीं उठाया। उस संस्था में उन लोगों की जरूरत है जिनका अपना ज़मीर नहीं है, या फिर वो भविष्य में दलाली कर चुके हों या फिर जिनकी कुछ मजबूरियां हैं। चैनल वन के मालिक को कबीर दास को ध्यान से पढ़ना चाहिए। उन्होने कहा है कि ऐसी वाणी बोलिए मन का आपा खोए… औरों को शीतल करे आपहु शीतल होए।.. लेकिन मिस्टर ज़हीर अहमद इसके ठीक उलट हैं।
फिलहाल तो उदय जी को बहुत-बहुत बधाई हो… एक और कमल कीचड़ में खिला है। अब देखना ये है कि चैनल वन का ये कमल कब तक ऊपर उठकर कीचड़ से खुद को बचा कर रख सकेगा क्योंकि मिस्टर ज़हीर ख़ान अपनी ही टीम में गोल दागने वालों में से एक हैं या फिर यूं कह सकते है कि उनमें कालीदास के कुछ शुरूआती गुण भरे हुए लगते हैं। फिलहाल भगवान से दुआ करेंगे कि मिस्टर उदय की साख हमेशा बरकरार रहे क्योंकि वो एक मोती की तरह हैं जो कभी अपनी चमक नहीं खोएंगे।:D

a very nice advice for you- please dont poke your nose in matters where u dont know the actual realities…its good to keep yourself informed about the things going around but give your comments on those matters only then when you know every thing about it. so keep you mouth shut till you get to know the reality. otherwise you’ll make fun of your own….

(vigyapan) nahi aata. bhir bhi channel one, Lamen News or Jhankar tv kaise chal rehe hai…..? jhankar tv ko man lo zaheer ahmed nai kiray par 5 Lakh rupess PM par de diya ! halaki wo jhankar movi par dharmik progremm chalata hai…lakin baki do channel par hone wala kharch kaha se aata hai….
