पत्रकार ने लगाई गुहार डेरा सच्‍चा सौदा से मेरी जान को खतरा

पटियाला के वरिष्‍ठ पत्रकार गुरनाम सिंह अकीदा ने राष्‍ट्रपति प्रतिभा दे‍वी सिंह पाटिल को पत्र भेजकर गुहार किया है कि उनके जान की रक्षा की जाए. उन्‍होंने लिखा है कि वे टाइम टीवी के पंजाब के हेड ब्‍यूरो हैं. डेरा सच्‍चा सौदा से संबंधित एक कार्यक्रम के बाद डेरा सच्‍चा और उनके समर्थकों से मेरी जान को खतरा बन गया है. कुछ लोगों के इशारे पर मुझे फर्जी आपराधिक केस में फंसाने की साजिश भी रची जा सकती है.

Subject:- Regarding danger to life and liberty of a Journalist

Sir,

With due respect it is submitted as under:

1. That I am a senior Journalist having long experience of Print and Electronic Media, author of three books and editor of a monthly tri lingual magazine i.e. Indo Punjab and Website www.indopunjab.com and presently working with Time T.V. in Punjab as Head of Bureau.

2.  That I have been committed and dedicated to the National Interests, National Integrity, Communal  harmony, social peace and ethics of journalism throughout my long career of journalism .

3. That in the interest of public , social peace and communal harmony, The T.V. channel decided to start a programme regarding Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa under the name. whether the Dera has deviated from its principles or not?

4. It was a positive debate to resolve the social and religious conflict between Dera Sacha Sauda and some radical Sikhs, to narrow down the contradictions and a serious and honest effort to find a solution of conflict through this positive debate.

5. But some vested interests, people and politicians interfered negatively and created such compelling circumstances, due to these reasons The T.V. channel has to decide to dropout this proposed T.V. programme.

6. That these vested interest people and politician in connivance with some police officers have posed a serious threat to my life, liberty and freedom of my views. That as per information from my reliable source, I am feeling a serious danger to my life and liberty from Dera Sacha Sauda’s high ranked people with the  conspiracy of Dera Chief.It is anticipated that under pressure of these people and some politicians, police may implicate me into some false and concocted criminal or other cases etc.

Keeping in view the above circumstances it is therefore prayed to ensure the safety of my life and liberty and take necessary steps for the same at the earliest please. I shall be highly obliged for this kind act.
