The latest publication from Kolkata from Sharda group The Bengal Post is not paying to its contributors. When they started on 29th June last year the edit page editor MR Pratik Ghosh (mail id [email protected]) requested eminent columnist, writers and contributors to contribute for them. Paper’s founder editor Ranbir Roy Chaudhary also requested them.
But suddenly on February 27, 2011 all contributors got a text message from Mr Pratik Ghosh saying they should stop contributing immediately. Since the group has not made any payments to its contributors for the month of January, February and March 2011. Their new editor Indranil Ghosh ([email protected]) is not even responding to the contributor’s mails or phone calls. Mr Ghosh is also not taking any calls. Problem is these contributors have no forum to get their hard earned money which runs into several thousands.
Paradox is that the paper is run by a Sharda group which claims to follow the teachings of Maa Shaarda (http://www.thebengalpost.com/aboutus.html) and their editor claims that he is pass out from University of Westminster (Please check this fact). And see the way they are behaving with their contributors.

Last month The Bengal Post issued cheques to all contributors whose payments had been pending for a couple of months. I suppose its time for this post to be removed.
