नेशनल यूनियन आफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (एनयूजे) से संबद्ध दिल्ली जर्नलिस्ट्स एसोसिएशन (डीजेए) के चुनाव घोषित कर दिए गए हैं. चुनाव अधिकारी हर्ष वर्द्धन की तरफ से जारी विज्ञप्ति के मुताबिक डीजेए के नए पदाधिकारियों के लिए चुनाव 17 जून 2010 को कराए जाएंगे. नामांकन 29 मई तक किए जा सकते हैं. पर्चा वापसी का काम 4 जून को होगा. अगर नए पदाधिकारियों के चयन पर सर्वसम्मति न बन सकी तो चुनाव डीजेए आफिस में 17 जून को कराए जाएंगे. अगले दिन 18 जून को मतगणना होगी. मतगणना के दिन ही विजयी प्रत्याशियों के नाम घोषित कर दिए जाएंगे.
नामांकन के लिए फार्म डीजेए आफिस पर सुबह 11 से शाम पांच बजे तक उपलब्ध रहेंगे. नए चुनाव कराने के बारे में फैसला डीजीए की 6 मार्च को हुई जनरल बाडी मीटिंग में लिया गया था. डीजेए की तरफ से जारी इलेक्शन नोटिस इस प्रकार है-

The General Body of the DJA on March 6, 2010 had decided that the elections of the DJA Executive Committee should be held as early as possible.
The Executive Committee of the DJA at its meeting held on May 22, 2010 has decided to hold the elections for the next executive committee and has appointed me, the undersigned, as the Returning Officer for conducting the elections.
After consultation with the present President and General Secretary of the DJA I have drawn up the schedule for the election of one President, four Vice-Presidents, one General Secretary, three Secretaries, one Treasurer and 15 Executive members of the DJA. The election schedule is as given below:

Filing of nominations up to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2010.

Scrutiny of nomination forms will take place on Monday, May 31, 2010.

Withdrawal of nominations by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010.

Polling, if necessary, will be held at the DJA office on Thursday, June 17, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Counting will commence at 12 noon on June 18, 2010 and the results will be declared as soon as possible.
A specimen nomination form is enclosed herewith which may be copied and used. Nomination forms for all posts shall have to be submitted with a nomination fee of Rs 200. Those who are filing nominations must ensure that their membership fee and other arrears up to December 2009 are cleared.
No nomination will be considered valid if the membership fees of the candidate and his/her proposer and seconder are not clear up to December 2009 at the time of scrutiny. Members will not be eligible to cast votes if their membership fees for 2009 and arrears, if any, are found not paid. Those who will clear their membership fees with arrears, if any, will, however, be allowed to cast their votes. Voters list will be available only to candidates at a fees of Rs 800/- per set.
