A coffee table book honouring the entrepreneurs of U.P. : With the launch of the coffee table book Jagran Gems, Jagran Prakashan Limited crossed yet another milestone on Monday. At an impressive function organized at The Grand Hotel in New Delhi, it was Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas who released the book, flanked on the stage by the Chairman and Managing Director, Mahendra Mohan Gupta and CEO and Chief Editor, Sanjay Gupta. It was indeed a proud moment as the backdrop revolved at the appointed hour in an exact replica of the book cover.
The show unfolded amidst thunderous applause from the audience comprising most importantly, those who featured in the book, heads of Mangalayatan University, Aligarh, Surya Meditech IVF Clinic and Apollo Clinic, Varanasi, Ganeshi Lal Agarwal Group, Mathura, Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions, Kanpur, MPS College, Agra, Jhunjhunwala Vanaspati Limited, Varanasi, Subharti University, Meerut, Sunbeam Chain of Schools, Varanasi, Vishal Videos and Appliances, Lucknow, Institute of Technology and Management, Gorakhpur, Teerthankar Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Nave Technical Institute and Inter College, Shahjahanpur, and Jeevan Jyoti Group of Hospitals and Institutes, Invertis Institute of Management Studies, Bareilly, besides CEOs and various Government representatives.
While the Chief Guest, Jitin Prasada, lauded the JPL endeavour at recognizing these entrepreneurs of Uttar Pradesh, Mahendra Mohan Gupta in his address spoke about the grit and determination of these hand-picked few, who with their achievements, had made a difference to the lives of numerous in the various remote districts of UP. He said that it has always been the endeavour of Jagran to encourage and promote entrepreneurs who have contributed in nation building and provide them the platform they rightfully deserve.
Eminent people from a large cross section of society, including Media, Marketing, the Government and prominent Business locations graced the event. Sanjay Gupta thanked the dignitaries present, for sparing their valuable time to make the event special and lauded the success stories of those who have found place in the book. Sharmishtha Sharma, author of the book, spoke about the partnership of BMW Deutsche Motoren that took the project forward and the contributions of Jagran Solutions in presenting the event in its stylish avatar, besides the presence of the august gathering of luminaries and well wishers who made the show a success. Others present included, Sunil Gupta, Sandeep Gupta, Shailesh Gupta and Bharat Gupta. All this was followed by a sitar recital and then saw the guests intermingling with each other at the cocktail and dinner.
