Cricket star Irfan Pathan Inaugurated Radio Misty 94.3 fm Fraternity Race at Siliguri. Radio Misty 94.3fm the first and Number one fm station of North Bengal has organised this 4 km Race. The 24-year-old all-rounder inaugurated the 25th edition of half Marathon of Baghajatin Athletic Club. Radio Misty is partner to this event also. On this occasion Irfan said that he is overwhelmed with response of crowd. He said that people from small towns have big dreams. Overwhelmed by the enthusiastic response of sports-lovers, he promised to return here and help develop the game.
About one thousand persons participated in Radio misty Fraternity Race.laltu won the fraternity race in men’s group where as jaheeda khatun was winner in women’s group. Total prize money of 31 thousand was disturbed to winners of this race.Rb Subba was declared the winner of half Marathon. On this occasion west Bengal urban development Minister Asok Bhattachrya, Member of Parliament Deepa dasmunshi, swimmer Bula choudhary, football player Dilip Palit, Radio misty CEO Nishant Mittal, Radio Misty Vice President Dilip Dugar and other sports personalities were present.
Irfan Pathan considers Sourav Ganguly his role model for staging a comeback to Team India.“When one is trying for a comeback, one should set Sourav Ganguly as role model. It does not matter where you are from — be it Calcutta or any part of the country — one must get motivation from him when the question of comeback arises,” Pathan, born in Gujarat’s Baroda, said.
