इंडियन एक्सप्रेस से इस्तीफा देकर शिशिर गुप्ता हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स से जुड़ गए हैं. उन्होंने एचटी में डिप्टी एक्जीक्यूटिव एडिटर के रूप में ज्वाइन किया है. शिशिर के ज्वाइन की सूचना एडिटर संजोय नारायण ने अपने सभी सहयोगियों को मेल से दी है. 19 साल के पत्रकारीय करियर में शिशिर की एचटी के साथ यह दूसरी पारी है. इसके पहले भी वे 1996 से 2001 के बीच एचटी से जुड़े रहे हैं.

It is my pleasure to welcome on board Shishir Gupta who joins us today as Deputy Executive Editor, HT.
Shishir has 19 years of experience. He started his journalistic career with Indian Express in 1992, where he worked for 4 years before joining Hindustan Times. He was with HT for 5 years between 1996 – 2001, after which he moved to India Today. His last assignment was with Indian Express, where he was Editor, Express New Service since 2006. He also headed the National Bureau (Both Political & Business) at Express for 3 years.
He is the author of the book, “Indian Mujahideen – Enemy Within”, and a member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies, London. Shishir is a postgraduate from Delhi University. He is married to Shailja, a doctor, and they have two children.
At HT, Shishir will be working on special stories out of Delhi as well as other centres. He will also be contributing to our digital properties. Shishir will report to me but work closely with the Delhi Resident Editor, Sudeep Mukhia. He will also be a resource for our bureaus to draw upon.
