3rd Divisioners appointments are made in Jamia

: एक पत्रकार द्वारा भेजे गए पत्र पर आधारित : GOT a 3rd division somewhere in your BA or Sr Secondary and find yourself in a bind? No problem. You are more than welcome if the ‘contacts’ are right. You have to be related to the right person and job, plus fast track promotion, will follow. this  ‘information’ collect by under RTI 2005….

At least two geniuses of Jamia Millia Islamia, both of them close relatives of some high-up in the UGC at the relevant time, were not only appointed but also promoted within a short span of time. And this information is official. Under RTI. So no question of its being inaccurate. The two appointments of which i have  a definite evidence are that of Ms Kavita Chauhan and Mr Deepak Kem. For those who may not know, Kavita Chauhan is the daughter-in-law of the officiating Secretary of UGC, Dr R K Chauhan, who could not make it as Secretary in the interview and managed to shoo off the selected one. The other one, Deepak Kem, is the son of Dr T R Kem (who also have 2 college on merrut) who never looked back from his IGNOU days. Such the dynamics of power if the contacts are right. That’s the kind of ‘fame’!

Whereas Ms Kavita Chauhan was appointed as a Lecturer in Management Studies on 6 March 2006, she got promoted as Reader on 17 April 2008, that is, within just 2 years and some days. Ditto for Deepak Kem. He got appointed as a Lecturer in Sociology on 7 March 2002 and got promoted on 5 January 2007 within less than 5 years. This is definitely contrary to the rules of UGC guiding such promotions etc. It is not known if both the luminaries are holding PhD degree. Perhaps not. If not, then the violation is all the more blatant.

Kavita Singh nee Chauhan got all of 542 marks out of 1200 in her BA (Pass) in 1998 which is 3rd division. At a Supplementary examination of the University of Delhi. The other brilliant progeny, Deepak Kem, secured a grans 388 marks out of 800 in BA (Hons) Sociology from Sri Venkateswara College of the Universty of Delhi in 1997. But, then, don’t forget. Deepak Kem had the right father and Kavita had the right father-in-law! So who was to stop them from getting their ‘dues’? And if and when someone exposes all of this, and more, the boss, Mushir-ul-Hasan and his University feel ‘defamed’. Who is bringing down the fame of the University? The one who exposes or the one who indulges in all of this. You decide.
