भारत में टीवी जर्नलिज्म की विश्वसनीयता के लिए फिर बड़ा संकट पैदा हो गया है। पहले भी इंडिया टीवी की करतूतों से बाकी न्यूज चैनल संदेह के घेरे में आते रहे हैं। इंडिया टीवी ने अब जो कुछ किया है, उससे फिर सभी टीवी न्यूज चैनलों पर उंगली उठनी शुरू हो गई है। इंडिया टीवी की दुनिया भर में क्या छवि बन गई है, इसे जानना है तो आप सिर्फ उन कमेंटों को पढ़िए जो बोह्रा समुदाय के धर्मगुरु के अपमान के विरोध में प्रकाशित पोस्टों के नीचे दर्ज हैं। कुछ चुनिंदा कमेंटों को यहां प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है ताकि भारतीय टीवी न्यूज इंडस्ट्री के वरिष्ठ लोग सबक ले सकें और टीआरपी के चक्कर में अपने ब्रांड का भट्ठा बैठाने से बच सकें।
कुछ बातें और। इंडिया टीवी के सर्वेसर्वा रजत शर्मा अपने चैनल के चाल-चलन-चेहरे को बदलने के बारे में पहले ही ऐलान कर चुके हैं और उस दिशा में काम भी शुरू कर दिया गया था लेकिन इस एक बड़ी गलती ने उनके अब तक के किए धरे पर पानी फेर दिया है। रजत जी को सोचना होगा कि आखिर क्यों न्यूज की उनकी टीम झूठी खबरों को गढ़ने और प्रसारित करने में विश्वास करती है? आखिर कब चेतेंगे वे लोग? क्या इंडिया टीवी की न्यूज की वर्तमान टीम सिर्फ जबरन बनाई गई खबरों को दिखाने-बेचने में ही सिद्धहस्त है? अगर ऐसा है तो इस वर्तमान टीम के पैरलल एक नई खड़ी करने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए ताकि न्यूज बनाम नान-न्यूज में एक हेल्दी कंपटीशन के जरिए बदलाव लाया जा सके। जिन लोगों का माइंडसेट नहीं बदला जा सकता, उनको सशरीर बदलने की जरूरत है। अच्छे लोगों को बढ़ावा देने की जरूरत है। बोह्रा समुदाय के धर्म गुरु को तालिबान आतंकियों से संबंधित दिखाने की गल्ती के लिए भले ही किसी निरीह और जी सर जी सर करने-कहने वाले आम कर्मचारी की गर्दन नाप दी जाए लेकिन इससे मामला हल नहीं होगा। उपरी इलाज से काम नहीं चलने वाला। सर्जरी की जरूरत है। उम्मीद करें कि वे लोग देर आये दुरुस्त आये की तर्ज पर अपने को अब भी नियंत्रित और संयमित करने के लिए सायास पहल करेंगे, न्यूज की पटरी पर लौटेंगे और बचकानी कहानियों को दिखाने व छिछोरी हरकतों को अंजाम देने से बचने की कोशिश करेंगे।
हर बड़े सदमें, असफलता, संकट में एक अच्छे कल के लिए संदेश भी छिपा होता है, बशर्ते इसे खुले दिल-दिमाग से पढ़ा, समझा और महसूस किया जा सके। तेज-तर्रार और वरिष्ठ पत्रकार रजत शर्मा से हम उम्मीद करते हैं कि वे जरूर कोई रास्ता निकालेंगे ताकि कल फिर इस तरह के हादसों के जरिए न सिर्फ इंडिया टीवी बल्कि पूरी हिंदी टीवी न्यूज इंडस्ट्री बदनाम न हो सकें। मुंबई बम धमाकों की घटना के कवरजे की आलोचना के बाद टीवी न्यूज इंडस्ट्री ने खुद को चुस्त-दुरुस्त करने के लिए कई कदम उठाए। अब एक बार फिर कुछ और गाइडलाइन तय करने का वक्त आ गया है, अन्यथा टीवी न्यूज जर्नलिज्म की लगातार गिरती साख को रोक पाना मुमकिन नहीं होगा और लोग न्यूज चैनलों को कार्टून चैनलों के रूप में बताया करेंगे जैसा कि नीचे के एक कमेंट में एक सज्जन की इंडिया टीवी के बारे में राय है।

India TV is known for nonsense news showcased in the most stupid manner. But they have crossed their limits. Just because they want to catch attention, they just cannot air anything.

This channel in any ways is not a news channel. According to me it should fall under the category of some cartoon channels or under the category of a mimicry channel which makes people laugh by telecasting some funny things which according to the telecasters is NEWS !!! Anyways moving from my personal views to the subject, I really want to question the the CEO, the editing in charge and other responsible authorities of the channel that do you even have any idea of the consequences of doing such morphing jobs just to fill in your empty slots(assume that your channel must be having plenty of them)? Your channel is lucky to have made this blunder against the peace ambassador who is always the most merciful and most forgiving human being .Dawoodi Bohra is one of the most peace loving community but still would do anything for a word from the His Holiness. We could have done much more to make your channel feel sorry in terms of regret or called for a press conference of actual news telecast channels and proved what wrong your channel is doing and provoking the masses but nothing without an order or command from our His Holiness. I would end by giving you a suggestion” beware the fury of a patient man”.

They didn’t even spare such a holy and highly respected religious leader of Bohra community who has always spread the message of love and peace for all mankind living anywhere in the world, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

This is really shameful and intolerable act by India TV this time. India TV is already known for its crap news but this time they have gone way too far…
They’ll have to bear the consequences.
