आमिर ने सचिन की चौदह साल की बेटी को एडल्ट फिल्म क्यों दिखाई?

यशवंत जी, गत माह  छह तारीख को मैं यू ही नेट पे समय खोटा कर रहा था. मैंने एक खबर पढ़ी कि सिने अभिनेता आमिर खान ने क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी सचिन तेंदुलकर के परिवार के लिए अपनी बहुचर्चित मूवी ‘डेल्ही बेली’ की ख़ास स्क्रीनिंग रखी थी. खबर दो वेब-पेजों पे थी. लिंक नीचे मेल मैं है, आप चाहें तो देखें. पेज अभी भी हैं. चूंकि सचिन इंग्लैंड में टेस्ट सीरीज हारने में व्यस्त थे, अतः उनकी पत्नी और पुत्री ने उस ख़ास स्क्रीनिंग में शिरकत की.

NDTV के वेब-पेज की फोटो नम्बर 9 देखें, कट-लाइन है कि सचिन की पुत्री की उम्र मात्र 14 वर्ष है. डेल्ही बेली ‘A’ certificate  मूवी है. Cinematograph Act, 1952 के अनुसार एक अवयस्क को ऐसी मूवी दिखाना अपराध है. मैंने Central Board of Film Certification(CBFC) को शिकायत की, ईमेल फारवर्ड कर रहा हूँ. RTI डाली, उनका जवाब आया. दोनों भेज रहा हूँ. एक शिकायत सूचना प्रसारण मंत्री को भी ईमेल द्वारा की. उनका ईमेल पता जो मंत्रालय की वेबसाइट पे दिया है वो ही गलत निकला. ईमेल उनतक नहीं पहुंची. मैंने वही ईमेल उनके सचिव को फारवर्ड कर दी. वो दोनों ईमेल आपको फारवर्ड कर रहा हूँ. RTI भी डाली है उसका भी जवाब आएगा. इंतज़ार है.

CBFC का कहना है वो इस मामले में कुछ नहीं कर सकता. ये उनके अधिकार क्षेत्र से बाहर है. पुलिस कर सकती है. देखें मंत्रालय क्या कहता है. आदमी के वकार (?) के सामने मीडिया भी गुमराह हो जाता है. NDTV ने लिखा भी कि सचिन की बेटी 14 वर्ष की है, मामले को सार्वजनिक किया, पर ये बात भूल गया कि एक अवयस्क कैसे वयस्कों की मूवी देख सकता है. और यहाँ तो स्वयं आमिर खां, जो कि डेल्ही बेली के निर्माता भी हैं, ने एक अवयस्क को वयस्कों की मूवी देखने का न्यौता दिया. सब कुछ आप को भेज रहा हू. वो पेज नेट पे हैं. चेक कर लें. कृपया देखें खबर बनती है या नहीं.

The instant complaint is with reference to two news items published on webpages http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/hindi/gallery/Events/28715.html  and http://movies.ndtv.com/PhotoDetail.aspx?Page=2&ID=11062#talk , respectively.

The indiaglitz webpage, dated 06.08.2011, reported “Yesterday Aamir khan organized special screening of his film Delhi Belly for Sachin Tendulkar’s family at Ketnav Theatre. The show was attended by the Master blaster’s wife Anjali and Sarah Tendulkar”. The two and a half line news was accompanied by eleven photographs showing Shri Amir Khan at the theater and arrival of Smt Anjali Tendulkar and Miss Sarah tendulkar.

The NDTV movies webpage, dated 06.08.2011, had eleven photographs with a common caption “Spotted: Aamir with the Tendulkars!” and different cutlines describing the photograph and the event itself.  Cutline to photograph no. 2 reads ‘Aamir Khan, sporting his mustachiod look from his new thriller, Zakhmi, held a special screening of Delhi Belly for Sachin Tendulkar’s wife and daughter’. Cutline to photograph no. 6 reads ‘Sachin Tendulkar’s pretty wife, Anjali, arrives for the special screening’. Cutline to photograph no. 9 reads ‘The Tendulkars’ daughter, Sara, who is just 14 years old, arrives separately’.

The issue is, Shri Amir Khan, producer of the movie Delhi Belly, invited the Smt. Anjali Tendulkar and Miss Sarah Tendulkar for a special screening of the movie. Delhi Bely is a movie with an ‘A’ certificate by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). A movie with an ‘A’ certificate is restricted for adult audiences. Miss Sarah tendulkar is just 14 years of age (cutline to photograph no.9 on NDTV movies webpage). The movie having an ‘A’ certificate is not suitable for her age group.

It appears from the reading of news items, mentioned above, that Miss Sarah Tendulkar did watched the movie Delhi Belly with her mother Smt. Anjali Tendulkar and Shri Amir Khan. The category/status of the Ketnav theatre is not known to me. As a lay man I take the word ‘theatre’ used in news item as it is used for any other theatre that exhibits a movie certified by CBFC.

The complaint is, if Miss Sarah Tendulkar watched the movie with her mother Smt. Anjali Tendulakr and Shri Amir Khan, in Ketnav theatre, prima facie, it can be taken as a case of forced exibition of an ‘A’ certificate movie to a non-adult.

Exhibition of an ‘A’ certificate film to a non-adult is a major violation of the Cinematograph Act, 1952. I want you to conduct an enquiry in the matter and take action, as appropriate, against those concerned with the exhibition of the Delhi Belly an ‘A’ certificate movie to minor Mis Sarah Tendulkar in the name of special screening in a theatre.

If, somehow, CBFC concludes that legally there was no violation of the Cinematograph Act, 1952, still, it would be in good public interest that Shri Amir Khan and Smt. Anjali Tendulkar should be reprimanded for allowing, Mis Sarah Tendulkar, a minor to watch an ‘A’ certificate movie with them. Shri Amir Khan and Shri Sachin Tendulkar, as wife of Shri Sachin Tendulkar Smt. Anjali Tendulkar shares the glory of her husband, are two famous icons of our times. People try to emulate their acts. Such an act, as described above, of famous people may have negative impact on society.

Exhibition of an ‘A’ certificate movie to a non-adult is a major violation of the Cinematograph Act, 1952. Shri Amir Khan proved himself to be a bad host by allowing a minor, Miss Sarah Tendulkar to watch an ‘A’ certificate movie that can have negative effect on her. Smt. Anjali Tendulakr proved to be more irresponsible, as a mother she should not have taken her daughter for the screening of an ‘A’ certificate movie.

An enquiry should be conducted  into the matter to acertain the facts and action, as appropriate, should be taken against those concerned with the exhibition of Delhi Belly an ‘A’ certificate movie to minor Miss Sarah Tendulkar in the name of special screening in a theatre.

Shri Amir Khan and Shri Sachin Tendulkar are two legends of our times in their respective fields. One is known as ‘Mr. Perfactionist’ of Indian Film Industry and other is loved so much by his fans that they call him ‘God of Cricket’. They have great influence on masses as is judged by their brand values in field of advertisements. Younger generation regard them as epitome of success and and try to follow their acts and moves. Shri Amir Khan is ambassador for Ministry of Tourism’s campaign ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ and Srhi Sachin Tendulkar could be in que for highest honour of India ‘Bharat Ratna’ as people are demanding it to be conferred upon him.

As wife of Shri Sachin Tendulkar Smt. Anjali Tendulkar sahres the glory of her husband. She gets the same attention from media and society as her husband. The act of Smt. Anjali Tendulkar is a classic example of parenting fail. Anyhow, Miss Sarah Tendulkar is a citizen of India and state should protect her from anything unlawful that could harm her in any way.

Even if, somehow, it turns out that legally there was no violation of the Cinematograph Act, 1952, still, it would be in good public interest that Shri Amir Khan and Smt. Anjali Tendulkar be reprimanded for allowing, Mis Sarah Tendulkar, a minor to watch an ‘A’ certificate movie with them.
