क्या किसी लड़की के साथ इससे भी ज्यादा बुरा हो सकता है!

मीडिया से सीधे तौर पर जुड़ने के बाद रेप, मर्डर, चोरी, धोखाधड़ी की खबरें बहुत ज्यादा चौंकाती नहीं हैं। कन्ट्रोल रूम में बैठकर हर रोज ऐसी ही बातें सुनने, लिखने और बांचने लगी हूं। कभी 70 साल की वृद्धा के साथ बलात्कार.. फिर लूट तो कभी 2 साल की मासूम के साथ रेप के बाद कत्ल। कभी कुछ तो कभी कुछ… पहले अफेयर वर्ड सुनकर भी कान खड़े हो जाते थे पर अब तेजाब फेंकने की घटना भी कॉमन लगने लगी है…

इसका मतलब ये नहीं कि भावनाशून्य हो गई हूं… बस ये कि कानों को अब ये सबकुछ नया नहीं लगता। लेकिन कल जो कुछ पढ़ा… उससे दिल दहल गया। सदमा भी कहूं तो सच ही होगा क्योंकि पूरे दिन उसी के बारे में सोचती रही… कुछ फंसा सा हो जैसे….। इससे पहले ऐसा प्रेमचन्द की कहानियां पढ़कर ही होता था कि शब्द चित्र बनकर तैरने लगते थे लेकिन इस लड़की की कहानी पढ़कर भी वैसा ही हुआ।

16-17 साल की एक लड़की की कहानी है… सिर्फ कहानी नहीं दर्द और हैवानियत बयान करने वाली कहानी है। एक लड़की..44 दिन… और सोच से परे की यातना….। हिन्दू धर्म में स्वर्ग और नरक की मान्यता है कि स्वर्ग सुख का तो नरक दुख और तकलीफों का घर माना जाता है.. जहां प्रताणित किया जाता है… शायद ये सब कुछ काल्पनिक हो लेकिन नरक की कल्पना इस कहानी से सच लगने लगती है….

DAY 1: November 22, 1988: Kidnapped Kept captive in house, and posed as one of boy’s girlfriend. Raped (over 400 times in total). Forced to call her parents and tell them she had run away Starved and malnutritioned. Fed cockroaches to eat and urine to drink. Forced to masturbate. Forced to strip in front of others. Burned with cigarette lighters. Foreign objects inserted into her vagina/anus.

DAY 11: December 1, 1988: Severely beat up countless times. Face held against concrete ground and jumped on. Hands tied to ceiling and body used as a punching bag. Nose filled with so much blood that she can only breath through her mouth. Dumbbells dropped onto her stomach. Vomited when tried to drink water (her stomach couldn’t accept it). Tried to escape and punished by cigarette burning on arms. Flammable liquid poured on her feet and legs, then lit on fire. Bottle inserted into her anus, causing injury.

DAY 20: December10, 1989: Unable to walk properly due to severe leg burns. Beat with bamboo sticks. Fireworks inserted into anus and lit. Hands smashed by weights and fingernails cracked. Beaten with golf club. Cigarettes inserted into vagina. Beaten with iron rods repeatedly. Winter; forced outside to sleep in balcony. Skewers of grilled chicken inserted into her vagina and anus, causing bleeding.

DAY 30: Hot wax dripped onto face. Eyelids burned by cigarette lighter. Stabbed with sewing needles in chest area. Left nipple cut and destroyed with pliers. Hot light bulb inserted into her vagina. Heavy bleeding from vagina due to scissors insertion. Unable to urinate properly. Injuries were so severe that it took over an hour for her to crawl downstairs and use the bathroom. Eardrums severely damaged. Extreme reduced brain size.

DAY 40: Begged her torturers to “kill her and get it over with”

January 1, 1989: Junko greets the New Years Day alone. Body mutilated. Unable to move from the ground.

DAY 44: January 4, 1989: The four boys beat her mutilated body with an iron barbell, using a loss at the game of Mah-jongg as a pretext. She is profusely bleeding from her mouth and nose. They put a candle’s flame to her face and eyes.

Then, lighter fluid was poured onto her legs, arms, face and stomach, and then lit on fire. This final torture lasted for a time of two hours. Junko Furuta died later that day, in pain and alone. Nothing could compare 44 days of suffering she had to go through.

When her mother heard the news and details of what had happened to her daughter, she fainted. She had to undergo a psychiatric outpatient treatment. Imagine her endless pain. Her killers are now free men. Justice was never served, not even after 20 years. They deserve a punishment much greater than they had put upon Furuta, for putting an innocent girl through the most unbearable suffering.

ये बस एक सारांश भर है…कहानी से जुड़ी बहुत सी बातें इण्टरनेट पर हैं…। खुद एक लड़की हूं… शायद इसीलिए जुंको की तकलीफ को खुद के ज्यादा करीब महसूस कर रही हूं… लेकिन शायद इसे पढ़ने के बाद आप भी कुछ वैसा ही दर्द महसूस कर रहे होंगे। घर पर पापा को नहीं पढ़ाया ये सब, क्योंकि वैसे ही बाप अपनी बेटियों की चिंता से कभी बाहर निकल पाते… ऐसे में ये सब पढ़कर कहीं न कहीं ये डर और बढ़ ही जाएगा… सच कहूं तो खुद भी थोड़ा डर गई हूं कि जो जुंको के साथ हुआ वो मेरे साथ भी तो हो सकता है या मेरे किसी जानने वाले के साथ…या आपके साथ..आपके घर में…।

अक्सर बड़ों को कहते सुना है कि कोई लड़की को तब तक परेशान नहीं कर सकता.. जब तक वो खुद ना चाहे… लेकिन सोचिए तो कितनी सच्चाई है इसमें…? समाज में शिक्षा का स्तर बढ़ रहा है… हर दूसरे इलाके में कॉलेज खुल रहे हैं.. पर क्या फायदा अगर सोच का स्तर इतना गिरता जाए तो…। हालांकि ये कहानी जापान की है पर अपने देश में ऐसी कितनी जुंको होंगी… जो आज भी यही सब सह रही होंगी.. आज तरह-तरह के आन्दोलन हो रहे हैं.. महंगाई के खिलाफ, भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ… एक आनदोलन और भी होना चाहिए.. समाज में व्याप्त असभ्यता के खिलाफ….।
