आलोक तोमर ने शोभना भरतिया को लिखा पत्र

वेब जर्नलिस्ट सुशील कुमार सिंह को फर्जी मुकदमों में फंसाने की एचटी मीडिया के कुछ मठाधीशों की कुत्सित चाल के खिलाफ पूरे देश के पत्रकारों की एकजुटता का असर अब दिखने लगा है। सुशील को गिरफ्तार करने के लिए दिल्ली में कई दिनों से डेरा डाले लखनऊ पुलिस अब वापस लौट चुकी है। लखनऊ पुलिस के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों को इस मामले की सत्यता के बारे में पता चल चुका है, इसलिए वो अब एचटी मीडिया के कुछ मठाधीशों की चाल और जाल में आने से इनकार कर चुके हैं। लखनऊ पुलिस देश भर के मीडिया कर्मियों के उठ खड़े होने से भी सकते में है। वह अब ऐसा कोई कदम नहीं उठाना चाहती जिससे यूपी पुलिस की छवि पर खराब असर पड़े। उधर, रायपुर प्रेस क्लब ने आज आपात बैठक कर सुशील कुमार सिंह को फंसाए जाने की निंदा की।

इस बीच, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार आलोक तोमर ने एचटी मीडिया की चेयरपर्सन को एक ई-चिट्ठी भेजकर इस प्रकरण के बारे में जानकारी दी है। उन्होंने एचटी के बैनर का कुछ लोगों द्वारा दुरुपयोग किए जाने की जानकारी देते हुए पुलिस को दबाव में लेकर एक शरीफ पत्रकार को फंसाने की साजिश रोकने की मांग शोभना से की है।

Dear Shobhana ji,

Greetings. I hope by now you are aware that a callous action and (mis)use of police of your Lucknow office has created countrywide outrage and Anti HT polarisation of media unions on pan-India basis. Even the creation of a union of Indian web journalist is in the process.

This is funny yet disturbing that  your colleagues in Lucknow chose to react and act on a small and true news item on a blog, filed a case against it’s Editor and sent a team of UP police in a jiffy to arrest thejournalist whose name nowhere figured in the item or website and who has credentials of working in Express group and NDTV amongst other media houses.

At worst it could have been, if at all, a case of cyber crime but it is registered as a criminal defamation offence. Blame the illiteracy of your staff and ”creative collusion” of police for it.

The item had said that on the day of sad demise of your great father, the doyen of Indian economic stream, the picture that was printed was not his (sic) and at the very evening a farewell party was arranged in your Lucknow. I am ashamed by ”mistake’ and apalled by the cheeky party.

I respect you for pioneering HT and breaking new grounds but this act of your staff is not acceptable. Would you be kind enough to look in to matter and do the needful?

भड़ास4मीडिया डाट काम के एडीटर यशवंत सिंह और विस्फोट डाट काम के संपादक संजय तिवारी ने भी एचटी मीडिया की स्वामिनी शोभना भरतिया को पत्र लिखकर उनका ध्यान प्रतिष्ठित अखबार दैनिक हिंदुस्तान का कुछ लोगों द्वारा निजी हित में दुरुपयोग किए जाने की तरफ दिलाया। दोनों वेब जर्नलिस्टों ने अपने मेल में शोभना से अनुरोध किया कि वे सुशील प्रकरण की आंतरिक जांच कराके दोषियों पर सख्त से सख्त कार्यवाही करें ताकि भविष्य के लिए नजीर कायम हो सके।
