केक पर लिख भेजा बॉस को इस्तीफा

एक युवा पत्रकार ने अपने बॉस को त्यागपत्र देने का सबसे मीठा तरीका अपनाया. अमेरिका के एरिजोना में स्थित कोल्ड टीवी के न्यूजकास्ट डायरेक्टर मार्क हरमन ने केक पर लिखे गए अपने इस मीठे से इस्तीफे की फोटो सोशल न्यूजसाइट रेडिट पर शेयर की.

हरमन ने बताया कि केक पर अपना इस्तीफा छापने के पीछे उनका मकसद यह था कि इस खबर से उनके बॉस और सहकर्मियों को दुख न हो. हरमन ने कहा, “मैं जानता था कि मेरे जाने से सब दुखी होंगे इस लिए मैने फैसला किया कि मैं केक के जरिए अपना त्यागपत्र दूंगा…बस इसलिए नहीं की केक को देखकर कोई दुखी नहीं होगा बल्कि इसलिए भी कि मैं थोड़ा जोकर किस्म का व्यक्ति हूं. केक के जरिए इस्तीफा देने का आइडिया काफी मजाकिया है.”

हरमन ने बताया कि उनकी बॉस इस अनोखे पत्र को देखकर चौंक गई… स्ट्रॉबेरी से भरा सफेद केक. न्यूज मीटिंग में उनकी बॉस ने सबके सामने हंसते हुए उनके इस फैसले की घोषणा की. हरमन के अनुसार सब ने खुशी-खुशी उन्हें विदा किया. “केक ने इस बुरी खबर को थोड़ा सा स्वादिष्ट बना दिया.” हरमन ने कहा

Resigning from a job can be tense, so Mark Herman, who loves his newscast director gig at KOLD-TV in Tucson, Arizona, wanted to sweeten up his three weeks’ notice letter.

The cake reads:

Dear Michelle,

Please accept this cake as formal (and delicious) notice of my resignation from the position of Newscast Director at KOLD News 13. My last day of employment will be Friday, May 22.

I will miss KOLD and all the incredible people I’ve been fortunate enough to work with over the last 4 years. I cannot thank you enough for all the opportunities and experience you have given me during my time here.

I appreciate your understanding and I wish you all the very best. If there’s anything I can do to help with the transition during my last few weeks here, please don’t hesitate to ask.

“I know a lot of people like working with me and they’d be sad to see me go,” the self-described office jokester told BuzzFeed News. “I figured cake would soften the blow.”

The 28-year-old posted a photo of the strawberry-filled work of art to Reddit after resigning on Friday.

The rice paper letter on the cake’s whipped-cream frosting followed a more traditional email resignation.

After four and a half years at KOLD-TV, Herman took a job at an ABC affiliate in Nashville, a bigger news market. But leaving his boss and co-workers is bittersweet.

“It’s definitely hard to leave a job that I love,” Herman said. “I didn’t want [the cake] to be anything malicious like a big screw you.”
