नई दिल्ली। डिजिटल स्वतंत्रता और प्रेस की आज़ादी के मुद्दे पर देश की निगाहें अब सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर टिक गई हैं। स्वतंत्र पत्रकारिता का प्रतीक बन चुका 4PM यूट्यूब चैनल, जिसे हाल ही में सरकार की सिफारिश पर बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना या कारण बताए रातों-रात ब्लॉक कर दिया गया, अब इस अन्याय के विरुद्ध देश की सर्वोच्च अदालत में न्याय की गुहार लेकर पहुँचा है।
4PM के संपादक संजय शर्मा ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दाखिल करते हुए इस डिजिटल सेंसरशिप को लोकतंत्र के मूलभूत अधिकारों का घोर उल्लंघन बताया है। याचिका में उल्लेख किया गया है कि भारतीय संविधान के अनुच्छेद 19(1)(a) के अंतर्गत हर नागरिक को अभिव्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता का अधिकार प्राप्त है — और यह कार्रवाई स्पष्ट रूप से उस अधिकार का दमन करती है।
कोर्ट ने इस याचिका को गंभीरता से लेते हुए इसे मुख्य न्यायाधीश डी.वाई. चंद्रचूड़ के उत्तराधिकारी और वर्तमान CJI संजीव खन्ना के समक्ष सूचीबद्ध किया है।
यह मामला अब केवल एक मीडिया चैनल तक सीमित नहीं रह गया है, बल्कि पत्रकारिता की स्वतंत्रता और जनता के सूचना के अधिकार से जुड़ा संवेदनशील प्रश्न बन चुका है। अदालत ने सरकार से यह स्पष्ट करने को कहा है कि 4PM को किन कानूनी आधारों पर ब्लॉक किया गया और क्यों इस बाबत न कोई पूर्व सूचना दी गई, न ही कोई उचित स्पष्टीकरण।
संपादक संजय शर्मा ने इस कार्रवाई को ‘अघोषित आपातकाल’ की संज्ञा देते हुए कहा कि 4PM सदैव जनता से जुड़े मुद्दों को उठाता रहा है — फिर चाहे वो सरकार की नीतियों की आलोचना हो, नौकरशाही की जवाबदेही हो, या जनहित में उठाई गई आवाज़ें। उनके अनुसार यह कार्रवाई केवल एक मीडिया संस्थान पर हमला नहीं, बल्कि लोकतांत्रिक भारत की मूल भावना पर प्रश्नचिह्न है।
अब यह मामला उस सुप्रीम कोर्ट के सामने है, जिसने अतीत में भी कई बार सरकार की मनमानी पर अंकुश लगाते हुए लोकतंत्र की रक्षा की है।
